nice boat.. what a shame... how bad are the drives?

Isn't that the one that went 100 feet up the side of a lake somewhere?
|
That boat is on the AT Web site. Look under new boats and go to the 37 Excess page and there it is. I thought there was also a video of the boat on the site but I could not find it this evening.

CR, on the plus side, the bottom is solid glass, no core, so any damage would be much easier to repair.
|
I saw the pics of the boat on the bank. Brian should be able to send them to you.
I wouldn't worry about the damage, Pat would definitely warranty the best built, fastest AVH hull in the world! :drink: Lifetime warranty right? |

There is an 04 37 in the classifieds for $199K.
Min bid $70K- would think any thing under $100K would be a good deal? New drives, go thru motors, have factory check the hull (it'll buff out- LOL!), few other things for less than $100K? |
the 04' 37 has been for sale for almost 2 years...not a great baseline in the current market.
But it is probably a steal @70-99k....Pat can fix it! |
not for me way to much work... you can buy one for what you would have in that when complete.. imo + I hate working on fiberglass:wuerg019:
|
Well, better detailed pictures MIGHT show it's woorth the $70k
If, for example, it's really just abrasions and not punctures you could probably do the bottom over for under $20k.' And does it need drives or just lowers and props? |
I wondered when that would pop up. To much money

The first word we got was that the boat was being fixed by the owner. Apparently that's not the case.
The accident happened on a VERY small lake in California. The boat was for sale here on OSO when the accident happened. According to the published report, the driver exited the boat, and hit the throttles on the way out, with no lanyard of course. The boat traveled some 75+ feet up an embankment. The engine running in the picture is encouraging, but still does not prove that they did not overheat. Who knows how long they actually ran dry after making it up the embankment; not to mention all the oil being at the the back of the pan at the same time. A deep dive with a RINDA will tell you more on their health. Given that the boat went 75 feet up, and then 75 feet back down (dragged back down into the water), and from the patch on the side that they floated it back to its trailer, I'd say the boat is in a helluva lot better shape than I would have expected. |
Don't forget the expense of hauling it from CA and new trailer.
|
Wish I could see the hull a little better, but overall I'm pretty impressed with how well it held together.
