Stephen Jassby
02/09/2008 Mr. Stephen Jassby, age 75, resident of Diamondhead, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008, in Diamondhead. Mr. Jassby was born in New York City and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired as National Sales Director for Smith Corona after 35 years. He was a member of Diamondhead Community Church, and he enjoyed golf, tennis, pool, and traveling. During his retirement, one of his other hobbies was playing the stock market. He was a straight shooter, always easy going, and family and friends will remember him for his humor. He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Mildred Jassby; son, Barron Jassby; sister, Lorraine Paolucci; brother, Anthony Paolucci, and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Julietta Luiz Jassby of Diamondhead; children, Jeffrey Jassby and his wife Sandy of Diamondhead, Nicole Viegut and her husband Eric of Palm Harbor, FL; grandchildren, Melissa Jassby of Florida, Courtney and Marcus Jassby of Diamondhead, Collin, Carson, and Paige Viegut of Palm Harbor, FL; sister, Maria Williams and her husband Paul of GA; 1/2 brothers and sisters, Raffaele Paolucci, Mary Valentine, Jo Anne Zannelli, Peter Paolucci, and John Paolucci; foster brothers and sisters, Rose Mary Menna, George Ashley, and Richie Conte; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, where friends may visit from 5-7p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2008, at Diamondhead Community Church at 12:30 p.m. where friends may visit one hour prior to services. Burial with military honors will follow church services at Biloxi National Cemetery. The family prefers memorials to Hope Haven, P.O. Box 3777, Bay St. Louis, MS 39521. A guestbook may be signed at www.riemannfamily.com. May he rest in peace. |
