Speed Numbers

What speed would a light lay up 37 with 525's run?
No cabin:D

crb76 03-25-2008 12:18 AM

I would guess 90 with no cabin, maybe 1-2mph more. A boat with full cabin will run 87-88mph and 90.1 with super wheels and nice temps! :)

Pat could tell you what the Factory 2 race boat ran. That was a 500EFI boat with no cabin. Add 2 mph for 525's versus 500's.

New trailer wheels? What was wrong with the ones you had? I thought they were sharp and matched your truck.

Outlaw ran 91+ on he GPS with Labbed Merc props. No liner and alot of bulkheads. HP 500s. Back then we were pioneers.

To this day no hull failures and it's had up to twin 1200s with #6 drives.

If I understood him they are a little big for a 525 boat. I wonder though if I could use a lap danced prop just like the ones Mark and Clark have as I can spin them on up to 6000-6200.

Friday July 11th will be prop testing day on the Rivah :boat: :grinser010:

crb76 03-26-2008 11:43 AM

Mark you are correct! I went back to a set of labbed 32's from Mercury. I know my boat will run upper 80's with them. The 5 blades are better for handling but I was never able to get speed out of them. I saw 84 once with the labbed 30's. I was only able to turn them up to 4985rpm's (per smart craft) on the FPC poker run. That was the end of those!!!

I actually sell all of my wheels when I am done. I only have two in stock now!!! :)
