We're praying for you, Clarkstar
Hoping you guys are on safe ground. It looks nasty from what we see.
Keep us up to date if you can. |
Be safe Clark, Chuck and familys. Keep us posted.
|
Were thinking about you guys.
|

|
Hope all is well for you guys.
|
From all we are seeing on tv I hope you are all on high ground. Check in when you can.
|
May God be with y'all down there!
|
I just talked to Clark. They have been w/o power since Midnight. They are safe though at the house; including all 6 dogs. There was no damage at the house, and the wind wasn't so bad. The house only shuttered once.
He's going to try to check on the boat later today. |
6dogs in the house and his bachelor refrigirator could be the REAL Texas Disaster!!
Sunny lovely day here at the beach in the Florida Panhandle. Just need to hear from Thunderstruck..people here from Lake Charles are in contact with the Guard and alot of high water on roads and up those bayous. |
you can watch it all live on the Houston NBC station at:
www.click2houston.com |
Well, that's good news!
Was it as bad as Fox News made it to be? That idiot Gerlado was out with his little, hand-held windspeed meter again. |
That's great news!
But who is this Gerlado guy? |

What a dweeb. He is no Jim Cantore. He is the man when it comes to weather reporting. Like they say, if he is in town...you best NOT be! Clark, hope you are making out OK. Got a generator? |
looking at Fox on tv and the click2houston.com website and it shows boats scattered on hwy 146 in Seabrook and it is in front of the dealer Texas Sportfish..I think one of the only boats outside to survive is a familar 32 Thunder with a pink
flip flop stripe on the sides.it's name was Havana Daydreamin'...remember Patrick |
Glad to hear you guys are OK down there.

All is well! The bottom line on the storm was that the wind and rain was more of the CAT 1 or severs Tropical Storm variety and the Storm serge was equal to a CAT 4 or 5. The attached angle was also the worst possible. It went up the bay and down the Houston ship cannel! The issue around Houston is that we have a lot of trees and a lot “old school” above ground power lines. That spells power outages everywhere. The only people that have power are those on the underground grids and those who have been blessed enough to get theirs restored first.
The boat is perfect. Yea for Cat 3+ storage that is 27 ft above sea level!!!!! No water in either the barn or any wind damage. The building was in a mandatory evacuation zone too. Trust me I debated moving it but decided that it was probably the safest place given the construction. As for the news, yea they sell tickets!!!!! Geraldo is funny! I love the wave takedown! Galveston and surrounding arrears are pretty devastated due to the serge. Note to people when they tell you to evacuate, its probable a pretty good idea. Also, Houston is one great city, everyone is helping everyone. There are tailgates going on in every driveway. People sharing food, ice, water, and BEER and BOOZE! Today, I must admit I am one proud Houstonian and Texan. What a wonderful place to call home! |
Yea (Dad's) Chuck's 32 AT is lying in the middle of 146. The with absolutely no hull damage!!!! Damn those AT are built well. They can withstand a Cain!!!!!!!
Pat that should be your pitch...There may be bigger and fast boats out there but can they withstand a CAT 2? |
Good news Clark.
Got any pics of the tailgates? :drink: |
