Jesse, sounds awesome, can't wait to see some pics. You gonna try and make it to the Thunder Run ? Maybe we'll get to see in person.:D

I like the graphics. I might however change it slightly to be more unique without being flashy. What do you think about fading from the black to a deep cherry/burgundy to the red to a lighter orangish and then the white. That way when you look at it from different angles in the sun, the paint will have more depth and look more intangible. Also, I think the bright red next to the deep black is a bit severe and may look slightly dated in a few years when you decide to sell. However, fading the paint colors may give you the same look while providing a scheme that may find more buyers down the road. However, the graphics look nice and I'm not that creative so you may not want to listen to me.
I do agree that you should consider tying the color into the hatch schematics and the dash panels to add some nice accents. You can always add two bezels, one in blue and one in red to accomplish that or add some small pinstriping on the dash. Congrats on the boat. No matter what, the thing will look and run awesome. |
if i were doing one it would defintely be a loud and wild, but for resale, your design should appeal to more. with the whacked out paint jobs they are either love or hate, but a conservative paint scheme like yours, a person could put up with it. only problem is your use of red is VERY dated to the late 70's and 80's. but hey, it's your money and your boat....so ENJOY the thing...Good Luck!

I agre with troutly, add something into the sunpad, but other than that I would leave it the way it is.:D :D

The new graphics look great! I don't think you can ever put too much red on a boat. I'm sure someone will post a picture to prove me wrong. LOL The other paint reminded me of a Formula also. Did you think of putting the boat name on the engine hatch? It would also look good on the back of the headrests to add color to the interior.
Do you know if AT can put the throttles on the left side? I don't think I can throttle with my right hand any more. :D :D Dan |
Hey guys...now that I have gotten H20 out of the driver's seat of the computer, I will give my .02 :D Thanks for the input on the graphics...you have given some great ideas. I will take the fall for what the boat looks like. (Apparently, you are right Jassman...it is my boat.) H20 just keeps saying, "if you like, it, I like it". Not really....it is a mutual thing. What can we say...red is our favorite color. With a little blue latex mixed in of course:D :D The sunpad is still white because Steve has been so busy selling 37's that he hasn't come up with anything for the hatch yet. I do like the idea of the name on the hatch, but not sure how that is done. Does anybody know?? Is it embroidered, or is it cut in pieces of the vinyl and sewn in? Just curious. H20 and I both wondered....How is it done on the Black Thunders and Fountains? I haven't looked that closely before. I am waiting breathlessly to see what ideas Steve will come up with. Remember I am Tbikini, and I don't want to burn my arse back there!:p

That looks fantastic!!!
The colors you chose never get old!! I love it!! Down the road you will have no problem selling that boat! Heck, you better hope I never get any money or there will be 2 37's running around with the same graphics:eek:  :D :D j/k Congrats on the great job!! Todd |
Let me know what you find out about the logo stiching in the hatch. I really like that idea. :D :D :D

I believe AT would use vinyl. I was trying to find a picture of a Cig with the big oval emblem on the engine hatch. Your boat name in oval emblem would look great. This is a picture of my engine hatch. Each piece is sewn together. I wouldn't want embroidery on the hatch because of wear and cleaning concerns. The black can get hot so don’t use too much.

Embroidery doesn't wear to good so be careful where you use it.
I hope no one in the AT section find Fountain pictures offensive. :D Your boat name on the back of your headrests would add some color. Another nice touch is the boat name embroidered on some leather pillows for your cabin. I can't wait to see all of your 37's completed. Dan |
