Sportmaster lowers

Has anyone ever run a set on one of these 37's and if so how did it work? I'm thinking Tom "rockclimber" put on something similar and the boat didn't like it but he may have been running shorties. I'm really wanting the set in the swapshop section on here but not real sure how well my boat will like it. I think I could use the gearcase shape to help my on through the 90's. Thoughts?

I believe Thunderstruck (Dan's first 37) had sportmaster lower. I think they were IMCO

I seem to remember excursions 37 was set up with a higher X dimension.......and he had to put spacers in his drives to get it dialed in. (check with him, I'm not sure I have my info correct)

Yes, Russ is correct, I had 500';s with standard bravo's,, without spacers with 30 bravo's had 23% slip, and put in a 1'' spacer went too 14% slip in turn picked me up 3-5 mph and cruise 5.
Up is not always the answer.
My boat was special, just faster than most with the same power, awsome boat.

The sporties I am refering to a standard length so I assume they wont change my "x". I am just looking at the case shape as I am in the low to mid 90s now and I've got some ugly slip numbers with that. Just like a nosecone I figured I could get more water to my props with these lowers.

You want shortees with 5 bladers. (now that would be my thought)

Excursion is right. When I got the boat it did not have the spacers (high slip %). I went with 5 blades and it made a big difference! Got the same performance gains as he got with the spacers. There are a set of standard sporties at the shop right now that I am thinking of trying in the spring.
