Brings the true meaning to "Fire Sale."

hp500efi 04-03-2009 04:21 PM

wonder what happened or started the fire

tfarmer 04-03-2009 04:28 PM

Is that the boat that was for sale on here last year?
How much do you think it should sale for. I would like to have the ext-boxes and the steering off of it. If it would go cheap I would bid on it. Does anyone know how this auction works? I have never done anything like this before.
Is it like e-bay:mad:

cosmic12 04-03-2009 04:36 PM

Oh my, I wounder what the bids will be like. Isn't Clark (crb)around there somewhere? That looks very fixable if it goes on the cheap side

I went in to try to regester and you have to be a dealer and have a number, appears its not for the public. Dam shame I would like to have known what it goes for or that matter I would love to have a project like that IF it goes cheap

chuckbeecher 04-03-2009 06:50 PM

That's the boat that had only 360 hrs. on the motors since new and had been for sale for over a year and a half.
Knew the 1st two owners.
Good boat.
The only boat I was ever on that the owner/driver stuffed in 2 footers. But that's another story.::p
I'd bet it was stereo and battery wiring/connection fire.
or else the loan papers got too close to the insurance papers and that kind of friction oh well you know:party-smiley-004:

buck183 04-03-2009 10:13 PM

I remember that boat. It was listed here on OSO for quite some time.

I remember the initial price being way out of range on it. I even commented about the price on a thread. Owner didn't care too much for that. Shortly after the price was reduced by 20-25%.

I always thought it would be a cool boat to own. Wouldn't mind knowing what happened to it.

Hey Pat, Could you fix the hull damage ?

tfarmer 04-05-2009 09:48 AM

I got with the company and Monday Im going to pay the $150.00 fee and become a bidding member and see if I
can win the boat. I just want some parts from it. But the first
thing they are going to get me is how many days it has been in the storage lot. They told me on the phone friday its $25.00 a day plus all the towing fees paper work.It could get into a lot of red tape and a lot of extra money after the auction ends. I would like to know before getting into a bidding war
but who knows. I asked them if it was ok to drive up and view the boat and they said sure anytime. The hull doesnt look bad at all to me.

cosmic12 04-06-2009 08:07 AM

Over on the other site,,, Griff has posted that he looked at the boat and there were some problems. If you are after the boxes and exhaust, that is were some of the problems were. If you go there be sure to get pics and keep us posted.

Griff 04-06-2009 12:35 PM

I never actually looked at the boat in person. Just my observations from the description, location and pics.

Nothing major that I knew of wrong with it. The pics never made it look very good. The transom always had rust stains and the dry exhaust looked to have dulled the powdercoating on the boxes and drives.

It was a salt water boat for much of its life. 525SC's were at 360hrs and were going to need some attention soon. 525SC intakes don't like salt and if the exhaust is original, then that would need replaced soon as well.

I should add that I also did not really want anything that needed high octane fuel. The 525sc's are great engines, but I had to get my 525sc intake manifold water ports on the Pantera welded due to salt damage.

chuckbeecher 04-06-2009 07:21 PM

The first two owners of this boat were , how can i put it,oh yeah, F*CKING ANAL about cleaning, servicing and most of all FLUSHING them motors. Do not quote me on the exhaust but I believe they were replaced some time around mid way thru the current hours.

chuckbeecher 04-06-2009 07:25 PM

Now that i go back and look at the pictures..if this has dry exhaust..then that was added. I'm pretty sure that boat had wet exhaust from factory. Pat would know.

cosmic12 04-07-2009 06:36 AM

chuckbeecher 04-08-2009 07:02 PM

32 Active Thunder

I bought the boat from salvage direct that you guys are talking about.
I had it running in 2 days! Took it to the lake on the 4th of July.
It wasn't that bad, did a little gel coat work and a little wiring, and got the interrior redone.
Had to rebuild port side carb, other than that it runs sweet!

Jammin' 07-12-2009 04:25 PM

Lucky you!

So did you win it by being the high bidder in an auction? Do you know how many bidders there were and if you dont mind what was the winning bid:party-smiley-004: Did you buy it sight unseen? Just curious about the process?

Yes, I've seen your boat. It's my first season down there so I'm just getting to know who's who. Was it loud??

I was chillin at the beach when you headed out of P T and I knew you were comin back before I saw you come past the point. It was loud but not crazy loud. What power and exhst?
I came into the marina as you were loading, just to check things out, I launch at Goose Bay, there's more water and room, $7 ramp fee too!

Jammin' 07-14-2009 09:53 PM

It's $7 at P.T. too but I was late enough that day that it was free. More water would be good. I've got Imco Powerflow exhaust with dry pipes on Procharged 509's.

Ok, so if you would have been wide open, it would have been crazy loud. looked like you were doing around 60

enforcer26 07-15-2009 08:08 PM
