Stumbled across this today. What's all the hubba-hubba about drives? Heck, you only need one to finish the race!

Cool Pic !

I've run mine on one motor/drive before.

I've even brought it up on plane with only one.

Yeah, but you didn't come in 3rd at the Worlds like that!

Sydwayz 09-23-2009 04:13 PM

Did Kevin keep it running/on-plane when the drive came up over the transom in pieces as seen in the FreezeFrame Video?

ActiveThunder 09-23-2009 04:16 PM

That was Deerfield.

How convenient!

I bet he ran it right back over to the 14th street ramp in Pompano :D

How high can you bring the bad drive with out breaking the tie bar ? I almost tried that when i broke the prop shaft but was unsure on how high I could go with it.

Sydwayz 09-23-2009 05:56 PM

The (dead) prop is what would be creating drag. If you didn't have the prop on there, you were in pretty good shape as is. You can spread the drives maybe 2-3 indicator points without creating too much stress, but I wouldn't do it on a regular basis.
