Has any one ever tried any 1" spacers for the drive or 12" ext boxes lowering the x dim 1" since a/t has a high x dim .to start with if so post your results. Thanks

Is your X really that high?????? Does it get on plane fine???
I have Stellings boxes on my boat, but it was set up that way from the factory. I've actually considered trying some 1 or 2" shorties.

Gets on plane ok, but prop slip on the calculator is like 19% and at 14% i would gain 5 mph , thunderstruck on here said he put nose cones on his and went from 87mph to 91 mph so maybe i should try some imco or sportsmaster lowers with built in nose cone,, and better than a bravo1 lower for the power.

Chances are if your slip goes down 5%, your rpms will go down. The props will be biting harder and will be a little harder to turn, thus putting more load on the engine and reducing the rpms maybe 100-200. I would install nose cones first and go from there.
Keep in mind that higher propslip is actually a little easier on drives also.

I tried 1" spacers. Better cruising speed but nothing up top. Same story with and without nose cones.

With nose cones I went from 55-5600 rpm at 87 (16% slip) to 5450 at 91 (10% slip).

If you have the $ the Imco or sport master would be the way to go. I epoxied mine on which is a pain and the epoxy chips and requires repair.
