AT out front!
Well, it wasn't a race, but in this picture; Clark's boat sure looks prime.

That was a great day and great shot.

That picture is actually from the KW2009 Poker Run. The red boat is another OSO Member's 37AT.

We defiantly hit 112 once we hit the dock. I forgot to crack the hatch an inch or two and the crew didn't have their Puma Ocen Racers on.

How do you explain 112 on both gps? Not that i care if it runs 112.. just curious where you get your info... I dont think Mike would lie at this point... The speedo gps is not acurate. |
since when is a speedo gps not correct. it runs 105 to 107 in fresh water all day long or until a drive breaks. salt water is good for 5mph. i spent 35,000 for the whipples to go that fast. also most expensive AT to date.

I stand corrected to both of you.
GPS speedo's are the most accurate measure of speed on the water. Steve |
i myself have seen spikes on gps units... but they seem to be truth with everyone on oso.. so im their... lol....
"believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see".... correct? :lolhit: |

GPS has instances when it's not 100% accurate.
GPS measures distance between a straight line, or multiple straight lines. If you have slight arc to your path, your GPS is only measuring speed between (let's say) 100 ft. distance increments on that arc. That said you could be running 120 mph in a slightly arced curve, but the measured distances of GPS increments could indicate your SOG to be 122 mph. Radar and Laser also have their discrepancies. In this picture, the BLUE path is the actual path of the boat at 120mph actual speed over ground. The RED path and points are where the GPS speed is measured, which in theory could be an overall computed speed of 122mph. Now I am not claiming or accusing any wrongdoing or underlying agenda by ANYONE here. I am just telling you how GPS works. This is one of the reasons why Kilo runs and other speed records are done in 2 directions, not to mention wind and current; measured by GPS, Radar/Laser, and other timing trigger systems similar to VASCAR. |
Next we can discuss the red pill vs. the blue pill, and an airplane on a treadmill.
|
Just turn on the keys and the gps and take off like heii with boat behind the truck and wala you have what ever speed the truck will pull it
