Bolster drop in
Can somebody post a few pics of the third man bolster drop in as well as the billet bracket setup if possible ? Looking to add it this winter and need to show my interior guy what we are talking about.

"as well as the billet bracket setup"
Scott are you still drunk from Miami and the cruise:lolhit: JK! welcome back. Bobber:grinser010: |
There isn't really a bracket for it but there is a poly like guide on the side of the seat and on the side panel. Pat did make a small change to the guides a few years ago that would make it easier to slide in place. I can take a few close up shots of mine when I get home but if you are starting from scratch I would try to get pics of the newer style.

We looked at the tommy bahama boat in miami and it had the billet support brackets on it, we are adding the reinforcement needed behind the side panel, just need some pics to show the interior guy, might be able to get the brackets from the factory if they already have a template from the one they already made if possible.

Why not just call Pat and ask him to email you some pics?

just a thought...... has anyone ever thought of having a third bolster drop in when you have a center entry?
In other words I was just thinking that on my 28 it would be cool to drop in between the two front seats. Anyone seen that done? Could it be done? |

I was in Clark's boat for the KW run last November.
I was not a fan of the 3rd bolster, especially when the water got big. I found that when I was in it, I was constantly trying to sit lower on the backrest to get below the windscreen to avoid the wind. There is no footrest ahead of the 3rd bolster and my feet had no support. It was very uncomfortable for any length of time. Steve |

Steve Wind?? the thing about that seat is if the pucker factor gets to be too much for someone they can just fall forward and be in the safe cabin!:evilb: A lip on the floor for your feet would be great there if you have a captain that does not believe in boat shoes! Had permanent three mans on my 32 and there was nothing we would back down from with those. Best seats ever..had them made by the Powerplay interior guy. |

That's a great seat and I've rode there in some BIG water and at night and it is just fine and secure and no wind problem.

thanks Lasz... I wonder what adjustments would need to be made to teh existing bolsters that are there.
I wonder if you would have to order the seat through Pat then find someone else to do the install.? |
