? I would assume you are talking about a p5x.
|
I love my P5X's. Going to water test my boat this weekend.
|
Just got mine back. I had them "cleaned up." Tom @ Hydromotive does a great job!
|
I have a pair of USED, untouched 30" P5X's for sale....I paid $2100 for the pair.
asking $1500 plus shipping |

I will be posting photos later today. There is NOT any "DINGS"---in fact, they are in darn near perfect condition with only some VERY SLIGHT abrasions that are barely noticable with the naked eye in some spots of the blades from when I was idling thru the Torch River.

I will also include the hub inserts for the XR shafts. You may be able to see the some of the abrasions in the photos on the blades---other than that they are perfect...

Where all family!

They are yours Lasz, I hope you guys still consider me as part of the AT family even though I am selling my boat. I'm not exactly sure, but I think I have the oldest running AT known (1990). I really loved my AT---lots of sentimental value to me because I did so much with that boat in many different ways. I am going to miss her when she sells.
Lasz, I'll be shooting you another PM for arrangements. Thanks, Mark |

Thanks Laszlo. I just got in from lake testing the boat with the new engines. I'm going to stick with the wheels I have. Could jump up a bit but I like how mine are performing. Good luck with finishing your boat.

Las, did you try a pair of Max's before you went with the Hydros? |

A few years back we tried them and did not like them so they have changed. |
The P5 is the pointed ear. The P5X is the rounded ear. You want the P5X on the AT.

I ran 27 pitch P5-X"s on a 358 Sonic that I had with great results. When I got the 37 AT I tried them even though they were under pitched and I liked the handling much better that the 32 Pitch Bravo 1 props that came with the boat. I purchased a pair of 29 pitch P5-X's towards the end of last season and I have been getting better numbers with them on flat water test than the Bravo 1's.

What are you seeing with them on Top? How may RPMs are you pulling with the 29s?
I am away from my computer that has the RPMs speed chart on it but on flat brackish fresh water I was running 84 MPH with the 29 P5-X's compared to 82 MPH with the 32 pitch Bravo 1's. I got the boat in August of last year so I have not had a lot of time for testing and getting used to the stepped hull so I am still playing with things. The props are box stock with no labbing or modifications. Pat told me that he had ran the boat in the ocean with the 32 pitch Bravo 1's and acheived a speed of 85 MPH. I would think that salt water and chop would add at least 3 MPH or better to the 84 MPH speed that I had ran on flat fresh water. The boat handles much better with the P5-X 5 blades and comes out of the hole fairly hard without cavitation problems. |
Sounds correct, the hole shot or plane time is much better with the hydros, we would run 85 all loaded up and full of fuel any day, we ran it light load light fuel and perfect chop at 89 mph and 5400 rpm, so 87-89 in light configuration and 85 ish at 5200 rpm with any load.

laszlo01 where do you think you will end up on props when you get things done? What kind of hp and torque #s are you looking for? My engines are turning peak torque of 710 at 4900 and it drops of to 640 at 5900 so I'm thinking I want to prop it as high as I can to stay away from that torque. I think I want to go for 5700 with hp at 710 and tq at 650. I don't plan on running around all day at those rpms but I know the engines won't mind a little speed and I think my drives will thank me for it. Thoughts?

Laz, the props should have made it to your door step today. I have the tracking number.....also, I can't remember if I gave you the hub inserts---if they're not in with the props, then let me know....no problem, I have a pair here for you. Thanks again, Mark
