Don't see too many of those arond(check the thread on the steam powered AT)

Ted G 07-30-2010 01:08 PM

I know Pat had one of those as his personal boat for a bit, but it was all white when I saw it. Guess they made some others.

That would actually be a fun boat for around here, we do mostly lunch runs down the ICW, and sandbar runs. I realize this isnt really an ocean runner, but would do GREAT for our Keys trips.

I'm pretty sure they are both 22' DDC AT's.

ACTIVESHACK 07-30-2010 01:23 PM

That would make a cool little Rivah rocket. Wish I had run across this before I bought the Jetboat.

Sydwayz 07-30-2010 02:27 PM

Brian,

are you saying it is the same boat, just repainted??

rchevelle71 07-30-2010 03:23 PM

That little rocket is just too freakin' cool. My wife would shoot me if I bought another boat, Anyone in the market for a "slightly" used 24 pantera with amerc 250EFI??:drink::evilb:

Sydwayz 07-30-2010 03:30 PM

Yep, same boat--repainted. It used to do 70+ when fresh.

Damn I want this thing, Probably run 80 with my modded Merc 250:lolhit:

handfulz28 07-30-2010 06:11 PM

Now I'm actually going to have to stop and look at it up close! Can't tell you how many times I've driven by and caught it out of the corner of my eye.

Brian, you said you'd trade the Mini for one of these... :D

Never meant to prove you wrong. But you know me so why would you expect anything less than me in the ocean running the crap out of any size boat?:evilb:

Ya gotta admit the little boat is badazz! I really enjoyed it. I build it to take the kids tubing and skiing on Lake Osbourne/ Ida.

Remind me to tell you about the time I left the drain plugs out.....

My thoughts too, the first time I saw the video. I never looked back.

I thought the powerhead was gonna be an anchor! I just don't do enough outboards to know right from wrong.

hp500efi 07-30-2010 06:23 PM

Didn't AT offer a free one some time ago for ...... (can't remember why)..here on OSO.

Cool ride that is for sure.

I wish someone would pull the the trigger on an outboard 33 or 37. They would make a sweet and fast ride.

I am just joking about the proving me wrong part Pat, I would NOT expect anything less from you, but you got a bigger set than me, I dont like rough water in a little boat, gimme a 35 foot plus boat for the rough anyday:drink:

That must have been a trip on Osbourne/Ida, when I first moved down here I had a 23 Wellcraft bowrider that I just bought, and didnt trust it in the ocean, I ran Osbourne a half a dozen times before I felt it was ready for a run in the salt, and every time, the sheriff, and the waverunners kept a close eye on me, those lakes is kinda small. First time in the Ocean was Air and Sea Show(wife got seasick), we ran down from Hillsboro, and on the way back got passed by the Cat5 Skater, and Met Tim Galagher in his 28 Pantera, I was hooked, and sold the Wellcraft almost immediately:evilb:

Tell me you didnt leave the plug out, thats amateur stuff:party-smiley-004:

As soon as I win the Powerball I will be knocking on Pat's door:drink:

Sydwayz 08-10-2010 08:39 PM

Well, Clark and I checked it out and seatrialed it today.

It handles pretty well, We ran it up to about 55mph on the pitot speedo, and only on the intracoastal. There was a storm offshore and we were getting rain where we were.

I really like the boat, but I'm not going to purchase it right now. I've got too much going on to enjoy it the way I would want to.

CanDo 08-10-2010 09:26 PM

I've got too much going on right now too, to consider buying this boat. So I did'nt bother taking it for a demo ride.

Sydwayz 08-10-2010 09:52 PM

Seriously--what's up with a comment like that? I went over the boat very closely; and may not have made a final decision. Truth be told there are several OSO members that are interested in the boat that I am providing feedback to.

Brian send me the details on it please.

JUPITER PULSARE 08-13-2010 03:29 PM

The boat needs a 300XS and a hyd. Jackplate to really see what the hull is capable of...the Yamaha power may be reliable but it's gonna take a black motor to see any real top end speed!!

ActiveThunder 08-13-2010 06:25 PM

A 300 XS would be sweet!
