25 Tantrum Weight

Does anyone know what the weight of a 25 Tantrum and Trailer is?

I'm looking at an 09 Jeep Liberty with a towing capacity of 5000lbs.

Thanks.

Having driven a Jeep Liberty, I would say no.

R'Addiction will have real world on trailer weights. I don't recall them.

I'd hate to even tow it with my GF's Jeep Grand Cherokee with the V8.

No way a Jeep Liberty will pull it or STOP it. A 25 is probably about 6k on the trailer. You need a minumum of half ton truck or full sized SUV.

I wouldn`t do any less than a F150.

Like the others say 1/2 ton truck at least to stop it.

Jeep

Well, the newer Libertys are more like the size of an older cherokee. I'm only towing 12 miles, I'll have to give it a try.

Why even ask the question then??
Not one person thought it was able to tow a 25 AT safely.

I had a guy bring me a 25' center console at my part time job to install a bunch of stereo equipment in. He towed it with a Liberty. I don't know how he did it.. Rear suspension was bottomed out and sounded like a struggle when he left.. I can only imagine him trying to stop. This was on flat surface... He mentioned how he wished he had a truck because it was bad pulling with what he had. All that money he put into a stereo could have been a down payment on a bigger/better tow vehicle....

My 25 weighs 3982lbs ran down to an empty fuel tank. My SFT aluminum trailer weighs 840-ish lbs.
My boat is a custom build-layup, so a standard layup is probably a few hundred lbs heavier?

It'll probably work fine untill someone does something stupid in front of you ,then you have to stop quick. Then your insurance company denies all claims because the vehicle wasnt rated to tow that much weight:party-smiley-004:

I researched it some more. Your right, no way the liberty can tow it. I'll rent a uhaul f150 for the few times a year I tow...
