engine flusher
 

Hey I'm looking for a engine flusher that would work with my outdrive but the water pick ups are at the front of the nose cone. (high performance bravo one) The round or square design do not make a complete seal or stay on.

Assuming you have dual water pick up Bravo since you said the regular flush muffs won't stay on. I had a Bravo outdrive that only had the front water pick up. (Correct me if I am wrong, but they only made those for one year - 2000.) That required a special flush muff that Merc charged an arm and a leg for.

But, never had a problem flushing my Bravos that had dual water pick ups. It will shoot water out the front pick up when you turn the hose on, but as soon as you fire up the engine the water pump will take it up.

Try a better set of muffs. :evilb:

It sounds like you need to put a T in the water inlet hose between the transom assembly and the SWP.
