37 AVH Question
If water gets in the cabin under the floor- how do you get it out? I have looked at a couple and have not seen drains at the step. Can water get to that point?
I have been looking at them and am considering purchasing one. Thanks for the help. |

That makes it easy. I look forward to joining the Cult......

It's more fun to back up real fast, and it will shoot out of the bow cleats.

Well I am Ready to Rock......

How do you access the forward bilge pump? Mine is on a timer that whenever cabin power is on it cycles 5 mins or so. Supposed to be that way? Why not direct wired with a float? Thanks
If you want to put a switch in you will probably find the wire running up to the galley panel. |
Congrats on the pick-up! That boat has been discussed a lot lately. I saw it in KW and it looked good.
|
Wow that was fast, when you said you were looking you meant it! Cool.
I had a 22 DONZI that had a drain plug in the step,,,,,,,, amazing how much water gets there. |
Congrats on the new boat!!
The race boat and a couple others have had drain plugs in the step, but they are not needed. As a backup to the bildge pump, you can stick a shop vac over the thru-hull and pull the water out that way as well. I have mine wired to the power switch for my water pump. I didn't like it turning on every couple minutes when the cabin power was turned on. |
Thanks guys. I just dropped her off in Joplin to start the process.

Nice ride 460! I was looking at it a month ago and figured it wouldn't last long at that number. Welcome to the cult and enjoy the Kool Aid!

That's a killer boat
|
You are gonna love this boat, nice. Notice the stitching says Thunder Racing, does anyone know if the Racing part means anything special to the build? Mine also says Racing which makes me ask the question.

Thanks for the compliments guys!
I saw all of the discussions on it - even emailed with Tebo and spoke to Ed about it quite a bit. Virgil and Carl down and Boats Direct were good to deal with. They sent me some up close pics of the paint stuff and the interior before I made the trip and the interior was actually better then I expected in person. I pulled the cover behind the gauge pannel and it was not the speedo hanging from the wires - it was the compass. The Speedo was actually moved over in front of the passenger. Not a big deal to me, especially when you consider it has the Garmin in its place. I was impressed with all of the documentation that came with it - Original Owners manual, receipts for upgrades and changes, Zul Dyno numbers, etc. I have a long list of updates but figured I would start with doing top ends on the engines, replacing the gimbals, paint the bilge (since the engines will be out) and add a swim platform. The hard part now is playing the waiting game because Brad is so backed up. I pulled onto his lot yesterday to see a 38 T/S Top Gun with a drive issue, a Blue Cig Cafe, White Lightning, an MTI, Thundercat, Formula and 36 Skater......... could be a couple of weeks before it even gets looked at. |
Brad's awesome to deal with first class all the way.
|
I was thankful he met me up at the shop on a Sunday - a lot of places wouldn't do that and it saved me some more driving.
|
Congrats on the new ride! Looks great love the paint. Just goes to show.....don't listen to all the B.S. ck it out yerself, When Ed said he wanted it I knew that it had to be a good deal. Have fun.
|
Brad's is the best place to leave it for sure.
|
Saw your Cig up there. Very clean. What's he doing to it?
|
Had a lifter problem so hes replacing all of them in both motors.
