383 stroked in a 96' Tantrum?
So I had a little bit of bad luck and my motor went last week. Im thinking of replacing it with a 383 stroked to save a couple bucks. My thoughts are it has more HP than my 330 did and will get alot more rpm's out of it. What are you guys thoughts?

I think you would be better off going with more cubic inches. There are a lot of used 454 motors and maybe find a 502 which is more expensive but will get you to the 60+ mph easily.

Yep, get a big block. That small block won't do it.

Big block's generally make more torque, that is what will move the boat. You will also have the cost of new manifolds to thinly about

Buy both of these for 10k and keep one as a spare.

Putting an SBC in it would be like putting a V6 in a Corvette.
