Tantrum.

Been looking at all sorts of sub 30' single engine boats for the last few seasons, my current boat is a 97 Crownline 225CCR with a Whippled 454MAG, nice boat, decently fast, but just not a good handling/riding boat at 65+MPH. Looking for something that will have the ability to run in the low 80's with some work and not be a handful to drive at that speed. I have read some good stuff on these boats. Seems as though they are far and few between, where as I can scoop up a 27 or 29 Fountain easily for cheap. My question is whats is your input on this hull? What years are the best? What kind of money is fair for a decently clean boat? How is the cockpit space, my crownline is pretty cramped now with 5 people, looking for a bit more room. I used to want more cabin space but our level of boating has changed in the last year and with kids in the future I think we will be doing less overnighting. Looking to spend 25-35K, really want to find something with hydraulic steering and tabs, any motor except a 496. Any info would be great, looking to purchase this winter or next spring.

Great riding boat 70-80 holding a drink in 1' chop. quality second to none. nice size cabin for 25'.always a trade off for speed/comforts. It takes big power to get anything into the 80's, bolt on's never seem to do it. great boat to take the family on, then kick em off and hammer down.

We've owned ours for 13 years and love it. 502 MAG/MPI will push it to tickle 70 on a good day with optimum conditions. Ours is 1999 and we have had no issues at all in 640 hours. Made a few upgrades: full hydraulic dual ram steering, and replaced alot of the thru hull fittings, fuel and water fills and dumps with powdercoated pieces from Eddie Marine and Get Real performance.

Caution: This kind of operation should require a Airworthiness Certificate. :) Doug

Good talking to you today Doug. Sorry about the abrupt ending but the "Boss" had to ask me how to do something.

I know they aren't going to be cheap, but I figured what the hell. If they got a good shot, I'll keep at least one lol

One 16x20 print is $250. I think if you want the file a single image starts at $500.

Doesn't matter at this point. They called me yesterday and said they couldn't find any pictures of my boat lol... That is a bit nuts for pics though....
