How much water was in this thing? I can't imagine how much $$ it will take to make this right. Sad, so sad.

Gladhe8er 09-03-2012 07:09 PM

Ewww!

Didn't know they made a triple.

Is that a 6-pack interior?

I saw that ad, poor boat.

ActiveThunder 09-03-2012 08:22 PM

Delivered that boat to the owner ourselves. At the time Jimmy Buffett was his next door neighbor for whatever that is worth.

It was trip 502s with whipples. Hauled azz and loved gas.

Diane and I left the ramp in Pompano and were in Key West harbor drinking a beer 2 hours later.

Whatta ride! At the time I took all the build pictures with a 35 mm camera and had a "brick" for a phone so no old pictures to show but if you stop my the factory Her maiden voyage picture is hanging on the wall.

He later built the 28 Savage with 377 Scorps for his house on Winny affectionately referred to as Barney as in the dinosaur. We painted it to match his Duesenberg replica.

My reaction as well. My Fountain is a couple years older, but LIGHT YEARS nicer than that thing, and I'm $8k cheaper...

I think the 28 is in mint condition in rack storage at Winni. OCD discovered it up there.

Wow, some people just don't care about there boats!!!

JUPITER PULSARE 09-04-2012 08:25 AM

Wow, that sad to see. I have the original photo prints of when the boat was brand new showing the rigging, interior and exterior! It was a cool boat when built and I know Pat was excited about building a tripple engine boat at the time! It's one of the very few "non-stepped" 36' Active Thunder "V" bottoms ever built!! Someone should steel it at a good price and bring it back to the factory for a complete rehab!!

The paint is pretty close to mine....

I think it wil buff out.........

mikebrls 09-04-2012 12:40 PM

depending on if the motor's are any good " probably not "
buy for maybe $ 20k and then drop another $ 100 k in a full rehab . Im sure pat can make it shine again :)

also maybe get rid of one motor and make it staggered :)

Nah...just take out the forward motor, glass in a bulkhead in front of the motors, build a padded lid and turn the xtra space into a giant beer cooler or keg refridgerator!!

that would be enough room for a full keg :)

AJ POWERPLAY 09-04-2012 10:11 PM

Come on guys... A little buffing and she would be shining! :)

Magic Medicine 09-05-2012 09:57 AM

I have been thinking since I saw this ad. Now a triple 37' AT is the not a boat I would like to purchase, that being said, I would like to get into a 37 in the future. That being said, it pisses me off to see a boat in this condition, I mean come on there are very few AT's in the first place and to see this one just turns my stomach. Sorry for the rant! I am sure others feel this way too.

Pat,

Kind sir you build one heck of a nice boat, great cabin, runs good in the ruff and fast with stock power. I have been on Boat Freaks 28 and and had the pleasure of driving his AWESOME 37', I have been waiting for the right time to make the move for quite some time. Hopefully I can be Sommerfliesby fender b*tch, to fill the void until its the right time for me to make a move!

Received this from the Broker. Would be one hell of a poker run boat.
Quote: The economy happened to this boat!! The owner splits time between his home and business in New Jersey and Key West where the boat is. The motors were replaced and have less than 100 hours on them. The boat is lift kept but needs considerable cosmetic TLC!! The motors and outdrives are worth $60k alone!

Poker&Run 09-09-2012 04:53 PM

From all the mildew in those pics....I can't even begin to think of what that thing smells like in the cabin !:poopoo:

Let me guess, the yellow intake adds 10k. Dude are you seriously trying to make someone believe these engines weren't neglected along with the rest of the boat. Normally I stay quiet but the price of this is insulting.

Likefastboats 09-09-2012 07:57 PM

Come on! Some 409 and a roll of paper towels and your good to go!!! :lolhit:

laszlo01 09-17-2012 07:47 AM

I have been back and forth with the broker and let me tell you he is a tool ! Does anybody have the owners direct info ?

Interesting... Cause I think I found the boat on google earth... Just northeast of 19th and Sunrise Ln.
