Does anyone know the history of the 2007 37 and/or the 1999 37 in the classifieds? I am interested in the 2007, but not sure I want to spend that much!

In my opinion the 99 is overpriced... I would take a look at the 03 before I took a peak at the 99, the 07 is super badass, and I think you should stretch to buy that one so we can all look at New pics of it :D

99 is over priced, 03 had a buddy go look at it for me and it needs alot of attention, 07 is a sweet boat i saw it brand new at the atlantic city boat show.

This 2003? Seems like a lot of boat for $80K, if indeed the Eickerts are fresh, the Bmax drives are new, etc. The devil is in the details, as they say...

Is this Jassman's old boat? Hard to tell from the tiny pics, it looks like it says "Radioactive" on the side and I seem to remember that the original owner was a member here, but can't recall who it was - getting old, I guess! :)

You can buy that boat for A LOT less than the asking price...........

It is Jassman's old boat. Some of the powdercoated items on the boat are ready to be pulled and recoated, but that's about the only complaint you could have about the boat.

I had a buddy go look at it a month or so ago he said it needs alot of attention inside and out. Said it would not be for me because im a bit fussy.

Would probably help the sale if the pics were any good. Any time I look at an ad with tiny little lo-res pics, my first thought is "what are they hiding?"

Is the owner of the 2003 not on here? As much as this has been talked about you would think he would have said something. Personally, I would rather hear from the owner other then second or third hand. How much boost? What's the engine size i.e 540's? What heads? How many hours since the "refresh". Recently, someone expressed the blower pulley was changed. Did someone remap the fuel curve? Who? ...

You can call Pat Sullivan for the details at www.outdrives.com . He has done all of the work on the boat. The owner has moved into another boat. AT Pat (Haughey) is also up to date with the boat as well. It's only a few miles from AT HQ.

This one is listed again, last time it seemed to be for sale a long time at this price.

Wonder whats the deal with the 08'. That boat was for sale a little over a year ago - by the original owner.....he told me he would take 95k. I couldnt get out there fast enough..... :(

The boat has had 3 owners. If you were talking to the original owner, it was a lot longer than a little over a year ago.

That 37/700 w/100 hrs boat for only 152k just set the market!

I disagree with that phrase, "set the market" in this use case.

Does the bankrupt/short sale house on the block set the market for all of them in the neighborhood? If it's been vacant a year, someone broke in, graffiti tagged whole place, and stole all the copper, well--there goes the neighborhood :rolleyes:

If you are buying a Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, and there are 17 of them in a 25 mile radius, you can play them off of one another for price. But if there are only a dozen boats in the country, all with WIDELY varying attributes--not the case. Even the trailer can sway value $10K.

Not really. I think the majority of the 37 prospects want the 525s. I have always been surprised by the lack of phone calls on this boat from the day we built it.

Basically when it sells we will be building a 33 with the extended cockpit and a pair of Merc 300s to use for marketing.

Gotta do something besides building a center console!

Brian your reasoning is non sequitor......The 700 boat is mint, low hours and 152K asking price.....not by any means a foreclosure/short sale.

My comment meant that if the baddest 37 ever built by the factory is now 152k with low hours, then the 525 boats with twice the hours on them are not getting their asking prices in the 120-130K range and the whipple boat is absolutely not happening at that asking price.

As far as trailers, your argument might matter if the buyer did a lot of traveling but the inexpensive trailer under the 700 boat certainly wouldn't sway a buyer to buy a 525/XR boat instead because it has a pretty trailer!
In the case of a rack storage/lift storage owner the trailer really doesn't matter whether it is a brand new Myco or a yard trailer.

No way would a buyer go with 525's over a lower hour pair of 700's/NXT's if the price difference is 15-20K. Heck a set of bravo replacements would cost more than that!

I like the boat, the salmon/copper color might be holding some buyers back but as a whole it is the best bang for the buck out there. Good luck with the sale!

If credit was not such a pain in the ass to get for a boat these days, Id put 20k down and finance it tomorrow. I love that boat and I can afford it with no problem but to many business propertys and others keep me from getting credit to buy it. I think the whole credit thing is a big issue these days for selling boats or any expensive toys or you would not see so many great deals out there for sale for years. :angry-smiley-038:

I have to be honest with you. I put the boat and the price out there just to see if the phone would ring.

I have put out offers on 2 body shops your way and further north. I love to build boats but this is coming back too slowly for my taste considering most of my competition is duck soup.
