and a stock B1? no upgrades? Who built the engine? Dyno/dialed in? |
N/A pump gas.Scott at Merkel racing eng did all machine work.2 all nite thrashings at my shop assembling friday/saturday , In the water sunday. This motor was on his dyno when it was 540ci and made 740hp. Using Scotts experience, and math this motor should make aprox 50 more hp w/the 60 extra cubes...and yes stock B1. Drive shower and me babying that tooth pick( havent floored it yet)
|
Holy smokes! thats awesome!! what gear ratio are you running and how fast might you think it will go? B1 Prop? Really sweet sounding boat. Just what I needed to see in the middle of winter here in mid- Michigan.
|
Now I really feel lazy. since I have been sitting with my motor in the garage because its been too cold to worry about testing yet.
Nice work. What did it do before and what do you expect from it now. Prop? ratio? rpm? just give us the goods! |
Yea, sorry gave all my friends the spring bug too. I heard 60 deg in January im boating. I was playing the prop game before and not dialed in at all 83.5. On that run labbed b1 28, 1.5 ratio, 5000 rpm half throttle, and not trimmed as u can see 80mph. I believe ill have to step to a 30b1, and anything over 90 ill be happy for a while

thats why im reluctant to tell anyone anything. Im not trying to impress anyone, belive me or not I DONT CARE. My engine max power is at 5800, and it will every bit of the rest of the throttle to get there, 90mph on a 24 degree non step hull

wait.....5000RPM at HALF throttle???? Hahaha...that thing is gonna sound SICK at 10,000RPM! Not to mention, 160 MPH! WOW! :thankyouthankyou::thankyouthankyou:
I was filming in the kryptonite and he was running 80 at 5000 without running full throttle. Hes hoping for 90 with a 30p and I dont think thats out of reach. My kryptonite runs 65 at 4000 rpm at half throttle.. does that mean it goes 130mph when I nail it because it will somehow double and be at 8k?? It actually goes 93 at 6000 wot |
ok i was in the pasenger seat maybe we were at 9/16 throttle but i did not have my throttle measuring duhicky thingamabob tool with me but i like you math at 160mph ds
that means a jetski should go 140mph |
people like you make my head hurt
