Step or no step...do we know?
Ok,
I have a '98 25' AT that I am interested in upgrading in the next year or two. The thought of a 28 with single BIG power sounds interesting but Im most likly going to go with a 32. I know niether of these boats currently have steps but could they, might they in the near future. There was another thread on here that left it a little grey for me. Here's my thoughts; 37AVH; the cat daddy, a little too big to tow around as much as I do. 32; Very nice, fast boat with reliable power say 500hp's 28; alittle smaller than I was thinking, but, economics of a single with big power would make for a nice set-up. If this hull where to be stepped in the near future, that could sway me back in that direction. Let me know what you know. |
The 28 is currently getting a step added to it.The boat will be introduced at the Cleavland Show in January.Should be a Running S.O.B..

I love my 32'. Could you imagine the 32' with a step. The boat is awsome as it is.....hmmm....if only.
|
Oh baby,
Now this is going to get interesting. Is the 32 going to get a step as well. What would the thinking be if they stepped the 28 and not the 32. Im thinking a stepped 28 with a monster single running mid 80's to low 90's. What kind of power do you think it would take???? |
ThunderTodd,
Your 32 is definatly smokin'. |
28 Step?

Massive Thunder started it
MassiveThunder made the comment on a previous thread. Then Pat comes on and say's something like "I don't know why he let the cat out of the bag". The problem is there were several other "things" in the thread that Pat could have been reffering to.

I am An Active Thunder dealer in Ohio that sell on a presold basis.I currently have 2 sold 28AVH boats on order. They are scheduled to be built and delivered in late December and the 2nd in early January.

Well Well Well...
I'm thinking the next few months are going to be very interesting...
|
The question is...
For Who? |
Massive,
I usually don't care for Cleveland in January, but cant wait for the snow to fall. I'll see you at the boat show! |
What are the real speeds that the 28's are running now?
Is a single or twin setup working better? Im thinking a 28 with a Kieth Eickert 675 or 825 and the step. That should move alittle I would think. |
Exact truth: Look for a 28' DDC Savage in the early spring. Add 12% to the V-bottom in hull speeds plus an incredible advancement in handling. It's not a "modified DDC". It's the real deal.
|
Pat,
What about a 32' DDC. That would be the chit:D |
