Possibilities
Thinking about putting my 37 AT on the market. Currently set up with Smith Power 555's. I am thinking hard about keeping my 555's for the next boat and dropping some 525's in it. Which configuration do you think would be an easier sell and would bring more $$$? Just throwing it out there at the moment to hear some thoughts.
Speaking strictly for myself, I would be far more likely to purchase a boat with 525's.
Honestly, my opinion merc power is over rated. I would rather have some well built motors by a big name that a nice bling to them then a pair of 525's with those junk leaky cmi's on them. Thats just me though.
I'd be all about it with the 555's personally.
525's. What year is it?
For me it would have to fuel injected and then I'd look At the valve covers.
It's a 99. The 525's are 08's. 555's have less then 20 hours on them.

since its a 1999 boat I would just keep the big power in there , or you can offer it either way , one price with 525's another with the bigger power and also with no power

What kind of top end with the 555's to me more power is better, might be interested as well.
The 555's can spin the 32p bravo 1's to 5500 at 85 full of fuel with two people. It needs more prop.
That is 23% prop slippage as well, are they labbed props or stock.
Labbed. Came with the boat. It needs to be dialed in. I have not run it enough since the engines were completed.
set of stock 32,s would probably work best, it will bring the rs down a couple hundered but should help lower prop slip numbers. I also sent you a pm
I did not get a PM. Your mail is full.

Yep - those are the ones. The ones in the boat have one fresh water season on them.
