Thunder Strorm? 02 37

Just saw this one. Seems to be priced fair. Does any one know anything about it? Looks ot need a little love and a bit of strake / glass work. 90 with 700s seems a bit slow unless im wrong. Over all scheme and colors look cool. Any Info?

T-RAV 10-25-2014 11:07 PM

It's been for sale for a while, salt/brackish boat. Looks like it will need lots of love to me. The drive lube dripping out of the drain plug looks great. I wouldn't want to pay nearly what they are asking for it. It's about 2 hours from me if you need some help with it let me know.

Sick Stinger 10-26-2014 07:13 AM

Yup defiantly needs a lot if love . Always wanted a 37 and this is a greatest and exactly what I'd want. Is 90 on the number for it? Or is it a bit faster?

Pwraddr 10-26-2014 08:38 AM

I think you can do MUCH better for the money.

Sydwayz 10-26-2014 10:31 AM

Where is it listed?

Sick Stinger 10-26-2014 10:46 AM

Popyatchts has it listed. I was thinking 80 or so on it. After viewing all the pics floor is spidered and the lonseal is hashed up.

It should run right around 100mph with 700's. The KE 675hp 37's(which I believe this one was) ran 98-102 mph. It looks pretty rough in some places.

Sick Stinger 10-27-2014 05:53 AM

Yup it's a bit rough. But I can pretty much fix everything to make it very presentable. If I couldn't work on it I couldn't own an offshore dont have the bank roll

"Modified built in custom rear rod holders for offshore trolling. "

Ummm....WHAT???

Sydwayz 10-27-2014 12:08 PM

It's the sister-boat to RadioActive, which I believe is still for sale at www.outdrives.com Both were in a few ticks of each other when originally built. This boat was dialed in at Lake-X when new, and same tricks applied to both boats.

abmotorman 10-27-2014 01:21 PM

Mike, so are you saying these engines might not be quite right to obtain the perfect trolling speed? Add a little blower surge and you even have some action.

Sick Stinger 10-27-2014 01:51 PM

Only thing in trolling for is some nice hunnies.
Id like to see chillers under these.
Brian what tricks are you talking about?

That was thunder dans boat i beleve when new it was a 98-100 mph boat with 675 eickerts,, not real big on the way they had to do the engine hatch it takes away the beautiful lines of the thunder from a side view. But that is just my 2 cents!!

Sick Stinger 10-27-2014 04:16 PM

I live the boat over all just trying to get a decent summary of history and value point. Always wanted a thunder. 33 is perfect! For me but not many so a 37 is the only other option

Sick Stinger 11-25-2014 06:56 PM

Pat what's your take in this? What number do you out on it? Who owns it now that I could get some good history on it.

SS930 11-26-2014 10:28 AM

It runs 90 because of the 1,000+ lbs of extra batteries and stereo equipment.

For a few $ more you could buy my much nicer 37 OL sitting on a Myco with new 540's, trans, and dry sump 6's. I can't believe you'd even consider this AT. :faint2: Maybe you're just partial to glass drives and no rooster-tail! :D

Fall is upon us, the money tree lost all it's bill so going on what is disposable

Sick Stinger 10-24-2015 07:25 AM

Any know where the boat is? Doesn't answer emails.

This boat from the pictures is in really rough shape. He took the time to detail it and the trailer. Pics always look better than real life. Those platforms in front of the motor are warn out....... How do you think the motors feel...I would put a price tag of around $40-50 k because there is a lot of work to do. I'm sure I will piss people off and it's a shame because it's a nice boat over all that needs tons of love to be great

Sick Stinger 10-26-2015 06:08 AM

Yup needs a bunch of work but that's what our cold shyt winter is for.
