She has just been adopted after way too long on land. Congratulations! I look forward to helping with the resurrection.

My buddy called me today to tell me he closed the deal. I took him and his new wife for a ride on mine at the end of last year. They really liked the room. Like they say, "Just Like Nothing Else"

boatfreak 04-22-2015 07:52 PM

Great to hear as she is a great boat and has been homeless way to long. Congrats to the new owner.

jeff32 04-22-2015 08:38 PM

It was not even advertised!!! I asked here couple months back if anyone knew where that boat was and no one seemed to know! Well, was not for me i guess!

That's about what it would take (including full headliner, etc). It was getting a little rough around the edges 5-6 years ago when I was interested in it (I'll bet the owner wishes he accepted my offer then, lol), so I would imagine it all needs to be gone completely through today after sitting there for so long.

I'm glad to hear it finally sold and will be getting the resto it deserves!

Its great to be a new member of the cult!!! Pat will be spending a lot of time with the boat. I'm looking forward to meeting other active thunder owners and working with Pat.

Gladhe8er 04-23-2015 01:49 PM

Congrats! This is a good crew to be part of.

Guy was older and would have other people run it in poker runs.......Here is a great shot of the boat at the 17 second mark:
Girl was older and getting a little rough also........:D

I liked the engine and drive combo. So where will this boat be used? Hope to see this boat in person someday. Andy

JBIRD37 04-25-2015 09:26 AM

I will be using it mainly in Tennessee. Dale hollow, old hickory, I will also be doing poker runs and the ohio river in Louisville. I cant wait to get it on the water.
Unfortunately I cant do many changes this spring, due to everyone being busy until fall, but we are doing major changes as soon as possible.

Sick Stinger 04-25-2015 09:35 AM

J if you do hope to see it when I get out to Louisville more often these days.

JBIRD37 04-26-2015 03:31 PM

We officially took delivery today! A lot of work ahead of us. There is a lot of purple!!! Anybody know where I can get a key for the fuel caps? It's the one that looks like a torx

Griff 08-24-2015 02:06 AM

I really wish I could pull the trigger on this just bad timing. But still like to follow where it goes. I'd like to know what they consider minor hull repairs?

Sick Stinger 04-21-2016 09:21 AM

so was anything done over the owned period or still sat untcouched?

mbccenter 04-21-2016 11:47 AM

When I called on it a few months ago they had replaced the injectors and a few small things. Cool boat for sure but needs work.

Sick Stinger 04-21-2016 12:32 PM

so its running condition or they just touched it here and there?

JBIRD37 05-01-2016 07:13 AM

Minor hull repairs means that there are spots in the gel that have gone bad and need to be fixed, nothing structural . we have replaced injectors, new fuel pump, replaced rubber boot on exhaust where the tip makes a weird bend, new ignition box and fixed the diesel generator and air. I also put new wheels and tires on the trailer. The boat is more than worth the money. I jut don't have time to work on it or money to pay someone else to do it.

bigboat28 08-09-2016 02:16 PM

Where is this boat now?

Champs3 08-09-2016 08:04 PM

was in Nashville I see its not in the classifieds anymore would be interested in what's going to happen to it and where it went.

Griff 08-10-2016 12:06 AM

He is using it. Some pics on FB of it running.

KRAUSMOTORSPORTS 08-10-2016 06:10 AM

Yup James Hicks bought it and runs it around Tennessee. Glad it's getting some use! Too nice a boat to just let sit.

sommerfliesby 08-10-2016 08:41 AM

Saw him and said hello briefly at Old Hickory run. He said she still needs some cosmetic work, but was running great.

KRAUSMOTORSPORTS 08-11-2016 03:48 PM

Shoot! What boat doesn't need cosmetic work? LOL. I was hoping to get it but just bad timing. Now I'm looking at 4-5 years before I upgrade....... Someone wanted a inground pool instead! :blahblah:
