Contacting AT

Just wondering if anyone knows to talk to anyone at AT?? I've called and left 2 messages and have never gotten a call back. I'm new to AT crowd(cult) as I just bought a 2000 37' and just want some info on it/them. Have some schematic questions and need to do a little work here and there and thought maybe I could just get the things I need from the factory. Thanks in advance!

Paging Sydwayz...

Drock78 07-27-2015 05:52 PM

email Pat at [email protected]. You will have a better chance getting a reply because they are extremely busy with testing the new 29.

Derek is right.
For those type of requests, it's best to email Pat. He works at all kinds of hours, and he'll usually get back to you sooner via email than phone.

Faster Daddy 07-27-2015 08:37 PM

Thanks guys I'll try that I guess. Would much rather talk tho and it would be so much quicker over the phone. Want to replace the a/c before the weekend and some other things. Anyway, thanks again for the help. I may back on here to get questions answered.
I could go ahead ask and maybe fix the a/c problem before replacing. Where is the sea water pump for the a/c? It's blowing, but not cold. I'm new to a/c so not sure how it all works.

Pwraddr 07-27-2015 08:42 PM

The pump,on mine is right after the sea cock in the bilge under the diamond plate. Is water coming out the side when on? If so it is not the pump.

Faster Daddy 07-27-2015 08:46 PM

Not sure about the water coming out actually, but don't think so. I'll run it again and make sure. Would the water be the difference between cool and cold air or not cool at all with no water?

Griff 07-28-2015 02:07 AM

The water is what cools it, so YES!!!

state1310 07-28-2015 06:34 PM

I sent him a pm on here , he messaged me back and said to call . Called , left a message he called me back within 30 minutes or so and talked for probably 45 .

Faster Daddy 07-28-2015 09:37 PM

Anyone know what pump it is for the a/c before I locate mine? I have to pull my diesel tank out to get that floor section out. 2000 37' is what I have.

Drock78 07-29-2015 06:41 AM

Where you the guy I talked to last week that couldn't locate the AC unit?

Anyways we order in the AC parts as needed. Nothing on the shelf. Here's a schematic with the part numbers from Port Supply. The pump is available from a number of vendors. I buy ours in the AC kit.

No we haven't spoken. I've call twice and left messages both times. I'm not sure the a/c is going work even if the pump is replaced? Can I buy the entire kit thru you to replace it? It has a 5k btu in it now, is that still what y'all are running in them? I'm in Texas and it gets really hot. I want something that'll get cold, not just cool it down.

ActiveThunder 07-29-2015 11:34 AM

You can buy the units complete. Call Ed Ruff. However I would see if the pump in the bilge works first. As Drock said it is a couple hundred instead of a couple thousand.

The call......

Hi: I have a boat you built 15-16 years ago, do you remember what the red wire does on the left side?
AT: Red wire where?
Hi: I told you on the left side near the middle
AT: No idea what you are talking about

Next post:

Manufacturer didn't want to deal with me since I didn't buy the boat new! :D :picard1:

AE Stream 07-31-2015 08:19 AM

You know it would probably just be cheaper to sell the boat to me, it just doesn't get that hot up here in the north east.... ;)

Faster Daddy 07-31-2015 08:42 AM

Boy your a funny couple of douche bags. How about not assuming you know everything and starting your own post called "we have no life and our wife and step kids don't like us either" and go rub your heads together on there??? No body needs to come on here being that way. If you read the previous post, like knew how, everyone besides your dumb asses was nothing but helpful. I never said anything negative about AT dip ****s!! Isn't this an AT forum after all?? Smh....couple mouths hiding behind your computers.

Its called sarcasm....." - if you are more picture oriented than reading oriented"

Enjoy your new boat! :D

BTW you did seem upset in your opening post: "Just wondering if anyone knows to talk to anyone at AT?? I've called and left 2 messages and have never gotten a call back."

Then when it was recommended that you email, your response was "Thanks guys I'll try that I guess. Would much rather talk tho and it would be so much quicker over the phone."

Didn't seem like the right way to start off a thread when you are trying to get free help.........but then again I might not know anything since I am "funny douchebag hiding behind my computer" :D

Faster Daddy 07-31-2015 09:25 AM

Lol whatever you think.
Who said anything about free?? If you read I'm trying to buy things to make my new to me boat even better. And maybe you need the pics to understand what you're reading since you're clearly the assumptive one here. Go to your manufacturer's forum and make this easy for everyone.

AE Stream 07-31-2015 10:16 AM

Hey fast daddy, sorry you took my post wrong. You got a hell of a boat and I am very jealous. I was trying to be funny but didn't mean for you to get your panties in a bunch. My friends usually call ass hole, but douche bag I have heard that too. I'll bust balls to everyone I know sorry for busting your chops , I realize some people are sensitive and it will not happen again

Faster Daddy 07-31-2015 10:20 AM

Hey Stream no problem at all!! I actually realized your post wasn't bad at all and that you were one of the guys trying to buy "my" boat before I got to it. Ass hole all the time between friends!! No worries at all, now get your Checkmate sold and find an AT man!! They are truly a friggin war machine!!!

t500hps 07-31-2015 10:29 AM

Come on man.......that was funny! For those of us that spend too much time on these forums that is EXACTLY what we see on a regular basis. Not saying you are, but it happens a lot.

BTW: Congrats on the boat, I love the lines of the AT. Just need to work out a 1/2 price special on that new 29 O/B model!!!!

You buy one for 1/2 price and I'll buy the next one for 1/2 price! :D
That way Pat will get 100% of the money!

Hey Guys, I work for March Pumps...its probably the most common pump you'll find out there in a marine A/C system....let me list a few common mistakes i get calls on all the time:

These pumps are not self priming so they need to be mounted BELOW the water line to prime them.
They CAN NOT be run dry for extended periods of time or you will start to melt things (it is a plastic pump)
Mounting/orientation is important with these units....ideally they need to be mounted horizontally with discharge facing up....you can mount is vertically like on a stringer/bulkhead etc....but the intake will need to be on top with motor below. (still below the waterline though)
The LC-3CP-MD is the most common pump out there and is rated to handle up the 24k BTU's total
If you are under 6k BTU's then the LC-2CP-MD pump will work just fine
If you have a bigger system up to 48k BTU's then the series 5 pumps are the choice.
If your bigger then 48k BTU's then give us a call and let me know how many units you are trying to cool and make sure you know how much water in gallons per minute or hour each units needs minimum....we make pump that can go up to 210gpm if need be :)

As far as trouble shooting the pump here's a few tips:
just because the motor is "humming" doesn't meant its spinning! the rotor can be locked up...if the units is humming verify the impeller is turning by looking down the hole from the discharge. If not turning then you need to take the pump apart and inspect further as to why.
The impeller should spin freely on the shaft....on the front part of the impeller is a groove...looks like you can put a flat head screwdriver in there. That's our wear indicator....when new its about 1/8" deep....if its about gone then time for a new impeller. If the impeller binds on the shaft it may be crud...clean it well and try again...if still binding then the pump may have been run dry and there's some damage. You can drill it out with a 17/64" drill bit and that will open the bore up...it will make it slightly noisy but wont hurt performance or life.
If none of the above get you going then call us here at the factory and we can try some more things to check but more then likely it may be a bad motor.
