37' with Whipples
Will 500efi's with 2.3 Whipples fit under the hatch with no mods??
|
Is the blower EFI ?? if so then I would very surprised if it didn't fit, an 8L EFI whipple will fit under a 35 Outlaw hatch with room to spare.

A certain loud individual several years ago claimed 112 when he put Whipples on his 525 37.
It's an inside joke now that 'all Active Thunders run 112 mph.' Given that you have the bigger step on that boat, I think you may run into hatch clearance interference. With fresh 500EFIs and dialing in, you ought to be up in that speed range though. At those speeds, the trick is getting the boat to stay in the water. This boat is a very efficient hull. It provides a lot of natural lift at 60-80mph. 100+ is exponential lift. At that speed all your are going to have in the water is a couple inches of the step, a couple inches of the aft hull, and less than 1/2 of the lowers. Laszlo's boat is going to be fun when he's ready to run it next year: 2004 with Whippled 525s and Arnesons. He took this year off from the project due to work exploding. |
Lol oh ok. I don't know if I want to take that fast anyway lol. Guess I'll see how it feels and drive it til it feels safe. Any sort of guess as to what props I should try? My drives will be next obviously as I'm running standard Bravo 1's still. Thanks for all the input!! Have had more fun in our AT in about 4 months time than almost 4 years in our Sonic!! :)

My guess on props would be 32 Maximus.
