32' Thunder in classifieds?

Does anyone know anything about the 32 Thunder just listed?

Looks like a very nice 32. I've never seen it in any pics until the ad was posted.

He lowered the price to $71500 already

Griff is hoping he gets $125k for it. LOL!

I have probably visited this ad thousands of times. I have never been in an 32 Active Thunder but have a couple of friends that own Sonic 31ss and have been told that they are "identical" boats. What is identical, the hull? Doe it have the same cockpit? Cabin? Wife would really like a 353 formula and believes that the 32 AT would be to small. How do the two boats compare? I do plan making the short 5hr drive to check it out but any info before would be greatly appreciated.

The 32 AT and 31 Sonic are not identical boats. Maybe similar in some ways, but identical in none.
The 32 AT is 31'6 plus the platform. The 31ss includes the platform in the length

My 32 in rough water is very similar to the ride of a 353. The 353 has a larger cockpit. The 32 has a deeper freeboard.

There is nothing identical between the two boats, not even close. Anyone who told you that; isn't one you want to take boat advice from. The 31 Sonic is much smaller in cockpit size in all 3 axis.

The 32 AT can run rough water along side many other 38 foot boats.
The Sonic can run rough water well for its size, but the overall gerth of the forward hull allows the 32 AT to do it better.

Last, the 31 Sonic also has a notched transom which takes away another 8" or so of actual running surface as well. The notched transom also introduces its own pros and cons in itself.

I do. It sold and is headed to Florida.
