LOL

I searched hard for the right avatar, I chose it knowing what I was getting myself into and that there would be times like this :-)

Sometimes I just wish I was the AT skank vs. the owner...life would be so much easier :-)

Go-fast related activities are a learning opportunity is several ways, including patience, frustration/temper control. :-)

Please excuse my ignorance, I only started maintaing my AT 2 months ago and I still have a great deal to learn - what is a running gear? . . . . what does pulling it mean?

engine/transom assembly/outdrive = running gear
pulling it = well . . . . pulling it :D

. . . . . Then I need to squeeze around the side of the engine compartment with a gopro to get some pictures of the coupling. I guess I should be looking for metal shavings, if so, i'll get out some magnets too. Anything else to look for? I guess if it is the coupling and the engine needs to come out i'll have a better chance to look at the transom....always looking for the silver lining :-)

coupler splines are aluminum so no magnetic shavings. You wont be able to see much, if any, evidance of coupler going.
