Default 20 year Anniversary

20 years ago today we took delivery of our Active Thunder Tantrum. Love this boat! To this day it is an all original, 1 (actually 2 the wife and I) owner boat. I still have the OE and still in perfect shape 502 Mag/Mpi that was switched out for a little more horsepower 502ci. Boat has only broke down 2 times and both were fuel pump related. Bravo drive is OE to the boat, except for upper gears that were replaced over 10 years ago and the fluid comes out clean every change. We have done a few other upgrades most importantly is the full hydraulic dual ram Imco steering, best upgrade! We have swapped out fittings and dumps for powdercoated versions. In the last couple years I have installed Keith Eickert manifolds and custom made tailpipes, another great upgrade! Pat Haughey, our Cult Leader came to the Jammin on the James Poker Run back in '08 or '09 with Jay Ross and was looking at the boat and asked "Do you guys even use this boat?" The interior is original and does show some wear but still cleans up nice. The boat has been stored inside 95 percent of its life and now is kept in a heated garage for the last 4 years. The wife keeps her clean and I keep it maintained. Looking forward to many more years on the water with both of them! Thanks Pat for building us a rock solid Hot Rod.

Got new noise makers...and boy are they noisy!

Maybe. I still remember riding in your AT! One of the best running/handling boats out there!

I remember her well during her build at the AT factory. Wish Pat would get back into building small Active Thunder's again. The Tantrum was a great boat and handled rough water very well for it's size. I say, keep the original top deck design, throw a small single step in the bottom but design CG and the hull bottom to handle today's outboard motors (like the new Merc 450) and let em eat. Pat, build them and they will come. The general boater can't afford big offshore boats anymore!
