37' 'Thunder Enlightening' going on the market
 

Hey guys! Thought I'd toss this in the owners thread before the boat is listed to the public. We've finally have come to realize our time with our Active Thunder is over. As sad as it may seem, this decision is made with delight. My wife and I are enjoying her defeat with cancer, a new home and our family which will soon be blessed with our 5th grand child. Our ability to use the boat with our growing family has created a difficult hurdle. Anyway, here are some of the basics including a few pic's. PM with any questions! Thanks!

This boat has NEVER been stored outdoors and hasn't spent more than 3 days in the water (freshwater) while under our ownership. We are the 2nd owners and have owned the boat since 2004.

Just over 200 hours on the boat...REALLY!

200 hours?! Damn that is tempting!!!

Holy smokes that's nice! I need to get my cruiser we thought we'd like (she'd like) unloaded in the next few months but dang, great buy here! GLWS!

Wow that is funny I was just thinking about this boat yesterday and wondering if you still had it. A huge congrats on the cancer victory and good luck with the sale. If anyone is looking you better act fast because this will be gone fast.

Good looking boats, I wonder why they won’t build them anymore?

Pat is still building boats. He has just been building some smaller ones, as Mercury Marine likes buying his hulls for testing sterndrives and outboards. He's built several for them. He'll still build a new 37' if the right buyer comes along.

I would have jumped on this 3-6 months ago, but not great timing now. If the new owner decides to go another way, put me at the top of the list

Aww man, just a little too late. Kevin and I (Judy) we’re the first owners of Thunder Enlightening and enjoyed it immensely. I am so sad to report that Kevin passed away just two weeks ago. He would have probably been interested. As it is, I am now the proud owner of a 46’ Sunseeker Portofino. It’s a lot of boat for one to handle but it was his happy place and I can’t bring myself to sell it. Driving lessons anyone ?

Oh my gosh Judy I'm so sorry to hear you lost Kevin. I've thought about you guys a lot and wondered where you ended up. The last I knew you were in Japan or something?

Back in the States since 2005 BoatFreak. We were in China. Took a leave from boating for a while but not long. Bought the Formula Runabout used a while back, but Kevin really wanted the Sunseeker and he just kept looking until he found one. We bought it about 1-2 years ago. It’s on the same dock where we had Thunder Enlightening but on the other side ( Named it The Shanghaied Pearl) We live in AZ but we were hoping to move back to Indy soon. I will probably still move that way now that I am the only one out here. Got one girl in Pharmacy school at NDSU and one married as an AirForce officers wife…LOL. Hope to see you on Cumberland some time.

I think it sold in a day

It sold the first day and had a line of buyers. The person who bought it went through it and flipped it to the next owner.
That owner listed it for sale a few months ago and it sold again in less than a week. 37 avail in classified - Offshoreonly.com
Not sure who bought it.

Our friend Tom bought it the first time it came available. He then sold it to my uncle and my uncle just sold it in less then a week this summer. It stayed in Michigan and is own by a guy named Robert who owned a 31 sonic before he got the thunder. He does the WMO runs.
