#2 33 Evolution up for sale

Ed Champion has the #2 33 Evolution at Big Thunder Marine and will be posting all details and price very soon. Anyone that is wanting a 33 should jump on it, because they don't come up for sale very often. Shouldn't be any issues with this one that I know of and the previous owner traded on a center console was the reason for letting it go.

Big $$ on that one. Listed now 100k less than was told so not bad.

280 Approximate hours? Why approximate? And would that put those motors in top end job time?

I know the topends have been done because the original owner AJ was in the middle of doing them when I tried to buy it about ten years ago. If the boat only has 280hrs, him and the current owner didn't use it much after he did them.

There is another that just popped up on FB in the $200's too, makes Ed's look good!

Good to know. I would highlight that in the ad.

Old post resurrection...Been out of boating for a while and looking to get wet again. Apparently I'm stuck on the AT boats and happen to be close to this one. It appears to still be for sale, but why? Looking at the pics I see the drives have different decals so I assume one has been hurt bad enough to change it out. As stated above, the top ends had been done fairly early, too early? Are these signs of abuse or neglect? I don't mind a small update project but I don't want to have to rebuild the entire boat. Anybody have additional info on this boat?

I know one drive was rebuilt in around 2022. I believe something under water caught the prop and took out the gears. The other drive was inspected and maintained at the same time when the work was being done on the damaged drive. There never is an early time to do top ends on a 525 EFI, especially if they have never been updated from the faulty Mercury parts. It's a very nice boat and a very good price as well. I love my 33 and it would cost way more than what their asking if I were to sell mine. I do know the previous owner who lives around Mt Juliet, TN.

@Bincini231 Thanks for the reply. I'm planning to look at it soon. Yours is very nice. I've been buried in the AT posts for several weeks now...lol

Thank you for the compliment. One ride in a 33 and you'll love it.

I was in LOTO and looked at it for someone on the 21st and it's pending now. It needs a lot of misc work, at least for someone with my OCD levels. But for someone willing to do it, the bones seem to be decent. Some aspects are nice and will clean up okay, but there's work and $ involved. Trailer especially will need attention, probably before it goes anywhere ;)

Good to know that. I haven't saw since a bit before it was traded in a few years ago.

It will clean up nice, it's just been sitting a while. I wouldn't trailer it without at least checking bearings/brakes and for sure replacing tires. New cockpit interior and the motor work from a reputable shop are the best points in my opp.

She is sold. Picked her up and brought her home last Saturday her new home is in Southwest Michigan. They detailed her and I bought all new tires and had the trailer gone through before we brought it home. A few minor things to do to it but overall great boat.

Get that 33 ready and come to Lake Cumberland Poker Run the first weekend in September.

32fever 08-04-2025 09:45 PM

Cleaned up nicely, and worked out for Big Thunder to get the trailer maintenance knocked out :) Mailman is pretty slow with my commission check, though.:stooges:
