ToddW. There are only three of those rooms available, they are smoking and you can only get that rate on the internet and it is non-refundable. The refundable rate is $269.
It looks like we can get rooms at the Marriott $259, Pelicans Cove $189 or Marina Del Mar $99. Still working on the dockage. |
h2owarrior,
Have you tried the Ramada Resort & Marina $119.95 or Holiday Inn Key Largo $170.00-$229.00? Both showed rooms on www.treavelnow.com How many slips can we get at Holdai Isle? I would be willing to stay on the outside. Hope this will help? |
Count us in, 1 boat, 2 rooms or 1 boat and 1 room with one big bed:rolleyes: :eureka: :D

Lodging and Docking Update
We have it down to two locations. The Marriott and the Marina Del Mar.
The Marriott has been the most helpful, is on the bayside of Key Largo and can handle up to nine boats. The rooms are Bay view and cost $259 per night. Marina Del Mar is on the ocean side and can handle 7 boats as of now. They have not told us how much the dockage will be but the rooms are $99 per night. They will set up a cash bar on the roof for a group our size if we request it. I am leaning toward the Marriot. It's a known quantity and can handle all of our boats. We will have more info tomorrow. |
Any news?

Looks like we are going to stay at the Marriott. We will post the contact name and phone number for you to individually give your credit card number etc. We should have all it wrapped up this afternoon.

January Thunder Run Participants:
Hey guys....just thought I would catch you up to date on the plans. Previously we had thought we were staying at the Marriot, but I could not get them to guarantee the dock space for us....It is on a first come first serve basis. I figured for $259.00 a night it would be the least that they could do for us, but hey! Anyway...the back up plan is to stay at Marina Del Mar which is a little south of there and is on the ocean side. Pat assured me it is not hard to get there.:D The rooms are only $99.00 per night and we have guaranteed slips at an additional $74.00 per night but that still is less than the Marriot. The rooms are either 2 doubles or 1 king. There seems to be some places to eat nearby....the Holiday Inn and the Ramada both share the marina with Marina Del Mar and they restaraunts and tiki bars too. Here is their website in case anyone wants to go check it out: http://www.marinadelmarkeylargo.com/ Hopefully everyone is agreeable with this. I am going to call the group sales person on Monday and I need to get a firm number of rooms. I have 8 slips reserved for us. That includes the following boats: 1. Thunder Enlightening 2. Thunderstorm 3. Radioactive 4. Attitude Adjustment 5. A.A's friend with Sonic 6. Sandsucker (Jon Testwuide) 7. Boat Freak 8. Monsoon I just need to know how many rooms...this is what I have so far. Kevin and Judy Ingall 1 room Dan and Barb Lawler 1 Room Jeff and Sandy Jassby 2 rooms Bob and Shari Smallwood 1 room Keith and Audrey Workman 1 room Pat and Diane Haughey 1 room Mike Case 1 room (2 doubles) Cashbar (Greg?) 1 room (Still need your last name to put on the list) Jon Testwuide 2 rooms Todd and Stephanie W 1 room I think that is it. If you are not planning on going please contact me via my e-mail. Otherwise, I am counting on 12 rooms. Your friendly cruise director, Tbikini :D :D |
