Question about RadioActive

I have seen this boat in magazines and also just looked through the pics of the thunder runs. My question is about the front bolsters, in some pics there are three in others there are just to. Is the outside bolster removable? Or just installed later on?

Thanks
Chris

Removable :)

I have ridden in that spot. Very nice.

Todd, can you explain how it is removable? quick release? or hardware to remove?

I guess I need to get off my checkbook and get a membership..

No hardware.
Jassman can enlighten you more. I didn't actually install/remove it myself. Just went for a ride. :)

That's where I've seen them thanks for the info. We'll see what Jassman can tell me..

I think it just slides down on a tapered fit and held there by friction. It is only the seat back and no bottom.

They are easy to fairly easy to remove. There is alot that goes into making a 3rd bolster. Behind the side combing there is a great deal of reinforsment that hold a plastic type of stripping that the sides of the seat slides into. It is a slick setup and once my kids are a bit older something that I would seriously consider

In the first pic that Todd posted you can see the white plastic strip I was refering to.

Thanks Dan and Todd. Looks pretty neat, might have changed my thinking about the side entry cabin..

Well said guys, just got finished from work. Like Todd and Dan said, the white reinforced plastic piece is on both the seat and side coming, the custom bolster fits like a glove and slides in a down ward motion. Its great when running and alos with no seat bottom it makes it very easy to go underneath and still have access to the cabin area. We love it, especially when you bring that 7th person along. Another idea for the ctr access cabin, could have a slide in between the two bolsters, that would also be a neat set up. Hopefully next issue of Powerboat Magazine, RaDiOAcTiVe will be featured. Thanks Jeff:D

I think the thrid seat is very kewl! If I was old enogh to buy a boat I would buy one with a thrid seat! but I would buy a thunder with a in bettween entrance and put the thrid one there! just my opioion!
