Need Suggestions!
1 Attachment(s)
I currently own a 25 foot Tantrum and am looking for suggestions. I run the boat up on Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest, and as you can imagine, the air gets a little chilly at certain times of the year. I am looking to put a windshield on and am hoping to get some suggestions as to what anyone may have seen or experienced for themselves. I have included a picture of my boat to aid in suggestions. If anyone has a picture of their own boat with a windshield they like, I would appreciate seeing a photo. My 2 main concerns are that I want it to be affective, but at the same time, I don't want to sacrifice the styling and good looks of the boats design. Thanks for the help! Any thoughts would be appreciated......

ACTIVE THUNDER MAKES A WIND DEFLECTOR THAT WORKS GREAT!
I HAVE IT ON MY THUNDER. IT DEFLECT THE WIND ABOVE MY HEAD. LIKE RIDING IN A CONV. |
Yes, flip up deflectors work well and there are many kinds. They wouldn't change your boats looks like a windshield will.

I have a 28 with the lexan deflecter. It works fairly well but if you want a lot of protection you should be able to get a taller version. Mine sticks up about two inches and you can't even see it. I would think if they could make one that sticks up four inches or so it would work well without taking away from the boat.

I will talk to Pat or Bosco. I am sure that they can steer you in the right direction. It will probably mount behind the crash pad, so there is a bit of work to install but it will look great. I would try and apply some type of silicone after it is installed so that no water or chit gets stuck between the windshield and the fiberglass.
You have a great boat in the 25. |
Sorry I have been gone for a while on vacation and unable to reply, but thanks everyone for teh suggestions! TunderDan, have you gotten any advice from Pat or Bosco?

to keep the boat looking kool and yourself..wear a helmet! You can be just cruisin' for a race!

They can make you one out of Lexan I am sure. Give Pat a shout at the factory.
