I have joined the Active Thunder Team

Well, thought I would post it here first. Pat and Stan asked me if I would be interested in joining the AT team to head up the sales department and as of this afternoon I have accepted the position. :)

I am a believer in the product that AT builds and I look forward to helping Active Thunder succeed. We are looking to expanding the Active Thunder line in adding a 28 AVH bottom and a 40 something boat.

I am looking for some feedback, in a constructive manner,.:D from current and future customers(so everyone) on not only what we can do to improve our product but also our service. Please feel free to e-mail me at [email protected].

I will be doing my very best to provide the highest level of service to our past, present and future customers.

Jassman 03-17-2003 09:20 PM

Congrats Dan, I'll call you in the morning:D your mailbox is full

thunderdan 03-17-2003 09:26 PM

I cleaned it out......Thanks Jeff...

Miller 03-17-2003 09:29 PM

Cool. I can't wait to see some of the ideas you've mentioned be put into practice. Talk to you tomorrow.

ToddW 03-17-2003 10:04 PM

Congratulations Dan. Talk to ya soon.

h2owarrior 03-17-2003 10:09 PM

Congratulations

That is awesome Dan. It must feel good to be moving into such a great position for a great company that is in an industry that is also your passion.

By the way.....are you bringing your Active Thunder credit card on the run in Destin:eek:  :D :D

Cash Bar 03-17-2003 11:12 PM

Congratulations Dan!

I was a little concerned when I saw you and Jassman selling at the same time. Now I understand why.

I guess I may be dealing with you now. I have been talking to Pat, and Bosco before that, about a new AT. I got a quote from Pat, but haven't got back to him for a few days. The girl got a look at the bottom line and it took, like, ten minutes to revive her. I may have to take a used AT, or some kind of temp. baot for 1 more season. I think I can order a NEW AT for Fall build-Spring delivery. I'll be in touch.

I'm in Ft. Lauderdale for the next few days if you need me to check up on anything. I'll probably visit the factory tomorrow(wed).

Congradulations Dan! You are probably aware that our boat Fast Forward is currently being built, so I will be more than happy to provide you with suggestions on how to improve!

audacity 03-18-2003 06:44 AM

congratrats dan....what boats are currently on the board to be built?...could you please post the build dates and the progress of the builds via web...maybe you can put to rest all those rummors of AT being late on everything?...just do that one thing and i think that will help the company the most. have fun

audacity 03-18-2003 09:26 AM

I checked out the site dan...i see Fast Forward is "the boat" currently being built? what is the completed build date on that one? it's stock. just look on the board and tell us the dates?please keep us OSO'ers informed.

Gordo 03-18-2003 05:32 PM

Congratulations Dan!

If you really want some ideas, I could take up a lot of your time.

ActiveThunder 03-18-2003 06:32 PM

There are currently 5 boats in production. Four 37s and a 22.

'Fast Forward' is not 'just stock'. And I would hate to think our client bought the boat thinking that. It has every toy plus a very trick Kangaroo Graphic paint job going on it. Even though the boat is in rigging, the client is still working hand in hand with us to make sure it is correct and what he wants.

Once we start running wires and cutting holes we do have to shut down the changes a little or it would never be done. However, realize this customer, as well as most, would wait an extra week or two to make sure they get what they want. What we all forget is that to make this customer happy it bumps everyone else back a bit. And this customer is just as important as all the others after him.

So 'Fast Forward' adds 1 or 2 weeks to the build in March. Mr. Tupper's Thunder adds atleast a week with just the audio system
alone in April.......Where is Mr August's boat? In November, of course.

You want it on time? Settle for the Fountain on the showroom floor. There's a bunch of them to chose from.

Gordo 03-18-2003 10:55 PM

Touche' !

 Now, tell us what you REALLY THINK! :D

I can't wait to see Dan's influence as I'm sure it will complement the AT team, Pat and Stan especially, in the years to come. I wish you guys the best.

ActiveThunderTodd 03-18-2003 11:59 PM

Dan,

Congrats on the new opportunity. I'm sure you will be great. It's a good thing I talked with you all those many months ago to give you my thoughts on AT's. Glad your choices have worked out well for you.

See you on the water sometime soon. I have to get down in the next month or two to get my beat up, little old 32' out of everybody's way to make room for all the new exciting stuff coming out of the factory.

See you all soon.

Have you considered putting a Pulsedrive on "Fast Forward". The Pulse factory is just down the street from "Active Thunder". Would make a nice package! Just wondering!

R Addiction 03-21-2003 10:57 PM

Congrats Dan. Does this mean you're headin' south?

superfast 03-22-2003 07:01 PM

PULSE DRIVE, stick with something that is proven and offer resale.

And Dan, go for it.
:D

thunderdan 03-23-2003 10:21 AM

I am staying in Jersey for now.

Thanks Todd.

Thanks superfast, I am really going for it, that is for sure. I only know one way to do things....and that is all out.......

There is some really neat boats coming out of the factory..Fast Forward with an incredible paint job by Joey Earl. (Brian, you may want to talk to Jassman, he was really digging your paint)

Then the first boat with the full millenium cabin with 525's. I am really interested to see what kind of speeds we will get out of this boat...

There are some really good things going on at Active Thunder and I am real excited about the opportunity that exists for us.

ROUGHSTUFF 03-23-2003 01:31 PM

We are patienly waiting to see the paint job on Fast Forward! From what I have seen thus far it looks like Joey from Kangaroo does top notch work. It has taken awhile to get the graphics where they are today. (The ones on AT web-site aren't the latest) We both like what is on paper at this point, I belive it will help make the boat look ever longer.

I didn't even consider pulse drives, I've always had good luck with Mercury.

Good, I'll let Greg run down his batteries providing the tunes, that'll save mine!:D I only boat with him once or twice a year, but I can't wait to see his new boat.

Wild Horses 04-01-2003 08:17 PM

I'm off for a few weeks and look what happens. I'm still in Miami and will be heading up shortly. Will try to stop in at the factory to see the improvements on the latest models on my way back to Canada.

Congrarts Dan.
