looks nice. what are hp 450's? do the chicks come with it? :)
|
Well eyezlee, I was gonna ask the same question about the engines. I didn't want to look like a fool though. Anyone wanna field this one?

I believe they were the 454 C.I. version of the HP500 502 C.I. I know they are blue and look just like 500's, I am almost positive that they are 454's.
Not positive on this either but I am pretty sure that total marine performance had that boat listed about a year to a year and a half ago. |
Just got a PM from a bud here on the board that was telling me they are the predecessors to the Carbed version of the HP500.
The owner sent me some pics a few minutes ago and they are in fact blue like you said. Can anyone answer if they are 454 or 502 blocks? Looks like a lot for the $$ IMO. Buck |
That looks nice and the money is right, maybe you can work on it a little, I paid close to that for a 94, it was set up a little different with steering, K-Planes, and 502s with the hp kit, rollers, cam, intake, exhaust (merc/gil), new Imron paint from top to waterline and some nice graphics I have seen 83 on GPS with a tail wind, 1-2s, by myself and 1/2 full tanks. With full (170) tanks and 3 big guys all over 200 I saw 75 on flat sticky water. I hope to see 80 again when the conditions are right , I need to back it up for my own self.:D The boat has been great, there are always a few cosmetic things but otherwise the business end is all good. I ran 10 miles at 4000 rpm, around 65, and not a blip in the gages or a tick in the engine, thats all the farther I had to go, next is a 50 mile round trip to grand haven, this will be a good medium speed test. I like 3500 at 60, I feels like it will go all day at that rpm. I would look at that boat close, get a survey, and ask if the chick are part of the deal:D It looks nice and if it checks out will be a very good, safe, fast boat, the free board on these are huge, i am 6' and it comes to my armpit.

Thanks for the info Mitch. I actually PMd Foul last night to get the details on your boat. I needed something to compare to and yours came to mind.
This is within my budget. If the guy that is looking at mine comes through for me this AT is in my top three list for sure. PS...I'll check into the chick thing. I'm kind of on a budget right now and that may factor in. I'm not even sure I'd take them if he threw them in for free. There's all the up keep and everything that goes along with having one. I'd rather use the money for gas. :D Buck |
I was one of the 200lb guys in Mitch's boat he was speaking of. It is a great riding boat and eventhough there werent big waves it felt solid and stable at all speeds and cornered very well. The freeboard is impressively high and gives a very secure feeling. I was really impressed by the boat. That one on the link is also a good looking boat, and I would work at least one of the girls in the deal. Good luck. Darren

Can't believe the head has never been used on this 9 year old boat. Somebody sure had a good bladder!!!
