This boat has been listed several times over the last year or sold.

NADA books can help you get the costs.

$125-150K would be a nice deal.

I thought I saw it listed for $147,500 some time ago... what are they asking?

$155K, no trailer. Seems a bit high to me. I know it's been for sale for a while. I low balled them, still no reply.

If I'm going to spend that much, I can buy this for the same $$, with better paint, boxes, and more room on a trailer:

386 Sonic 2000
T-HP500EFI just rebuilt, IMCO Extension Boxes, IMCO External Steering, IMCO Drive showers. Spare prop mounts, Air Conditioning, Drop-Out table, Microwave, Refrigerator and an electric head. Bold colors, reliable power and lots of fun in one great package. This is a trade-in, but I will consider trades on it as well. Make me say no!
Reduced to $155,000.00

Re: Whats this 37 avh worth?

For $155K I would try to deal on the 2002 37' with 675 KE engines. It is loaded and he is asking $199K. Not sure where he will sell this one at, but it looks like a nice boat. Take a look in the classified ads. Also, the 2002 looks to have the new, taller deck.

It will cost $10-12K to add a nice trailer to the one your are looking at!

Good luck.

Re: Whats this 37 avh worth?

$155 is out of my price range. If I buy something it will need to be under 130-140. Thanks for the replies Boomer.

It's on yachtworld for $139k
http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listi...20&slim=quick&

Good luck dealing with National Marine. I'd try Tim G, he's probably your best bet. If you are left to anyone else, good luck getting a return call. Just spoke to someone today that also can't get National to return calls.

I'd buy it for $110k, add $10-$12k for a nice Myco and that would be an okay deal. This boat was probably $150k brand spanking new.

Good luck! Some freinds of ours have an 00 37AVH, and if you're half as happy as they are, you'll be in love:D

Re: Whats this 37 avh worth?

if that '00 37AVH was $150K brand new, I would take two!! I think it was a tad bit more when it was new. If you can get it at $125K then it would be a steal, if it's in good shape. Keep in mind that in '00 the AVH step was in "work in progress", the later models are better. As 32 fever said...... you'll be in love with the AT37AVH...

Re: Whats this 37 avh worth?

Thanks for the advice guys. Tim G pm'd me himself, he seems to be a stand up guy. I think they are looking for 140k from it or close to that. Its a little more than I want to spend for that boat without a trailer. As for the 155K price I was given, besides the 38 Sonic, There's a 1999 Formula 419 with triple 500 efi's for 155 I just got an add for.

Re: Whats this 37 avh worth?

I think Thunder n lightning sold for around $150K it was 2 years newer and had all the bells and whistles, AC, Genset and so on including a trailer. Based on that I would say $110 max

Re: Whats this 37 avh worth?

If the boat is clean and has low hours it should be in the 125-130 range, but add a nice trailer to the package and pay ariund 135-140. Needs a few items for starters a swim platform on the back, these boats are so hard to get on from in the water.
Hope this helps.

Thunder Enlighting (saw this boat at SOTW and it looks beautiful), as Von Bongo said didn't sell for much more than $159 I think. Monsoon was around $159k.

I'm not saying the boat LISTED for $150k, but I bet it was purchased for close to that. If you think all these 02 and 03 37's for sale a year after people had them built are being sold and they're all taking $40-$50k hits, there are a lot of dumb people buying Thunders. No offense, but you can't tell me they all had them built and lost their booties. People work too hard to make those dollars to blow them that quickly. They may have taken a small loss, but I doubt they made those changes at a huge hit. I AM just speculating here, so correct me if I'm wrong Thunderdan, Jassman, H20, ToddW, etc.

They are great boats, but priced a little high MSRP wise. Just check the website and you'll get sticker shock:)

Also, keep in mind it was a new design in 00 as you said before. They have to entice people to buy them at that point. Once proven, they will sell themselves. The 32 Thunders were proven and I'm sure those have sold themselves over the years. What cold you buy a 37 Outerlimits for back in 96? $150k or so I was told. Why are they so much now? Cause they can. I don't think Thunder is at that point, but certainly is achievable for them.

Don't get me wrong, nothing against AT, we have 4 friends with them, 3 32's and 1 37AVH, and they ALL love the boats. I'm just trying to give my opp. I'd want someone to offer me advice if I were to buy a boat and be way upside down right away. At least wait a day or two before you are upside down. LOL! Gotta love boats!

Just my thoughts to help out a fellow boater who asked a question. I may be way out of line, but then again, I AM a cheapass. LOL!

When I had the boat it was great. I hear the new owner is looking for a #6 boat and more power. Its easy to add more power, but to convert a bravo boat over to a #6 is a pain in the a**, its easier to start with a new one. Jeff Jassby

from what i heard radioactive was run hard and put away wet by the guy who has it now.
that is still one of my alltime favorites,, the way jeff set it up is perfect only thingfor me would be get rid of the gen.. i would never use. still kickin myself i shoulda bought it from jeff when had the chance,,
doh,, hindsight is so crystal clear..
wonder what it would cost to build new similar just diff paint and maybe new merc package coming out ( i heard 700 hp with new drve? ) or eickerts and 4x4's on boxes?.
anyone have an idea? would it be ready by spring?

Re: Whats this 37 avh worth?

Mark
the pricing you see on AT website is suggested retail only. The few dealers and Pat work off that price with a certain discount.
With the few years that the 37AVH has existed, in my opinion, it has already proved itself as a winner. Redesigned hull and top deck, new interior, and improving fit and finish.
I don't think I would also compare Outerlimits to AT either. Two completely different approaches to boat building and customer base. Keep in mind that Pat has a very profitable body shop business also. Granted, either boat is a very nice piece to have.

and Mark, I don't think your out of line, that's what this boards about, sharing ideas and opinions. Have a great day.

Adam

That boat books out at 155,000 all day long, even without a Myco. MSRP was right around $225,000 and that boat with that power will push over 80.

If you say so... watch your mailbox for a check from me for $155k. :D:D You better offer more Go4Broke, or you'll miss out!!! LOL!

From my experience with National, you should be returning phone calls instead of posting on the internet. I've called more than 5 times to National over the years and have not ever gotten a return call. And I'm not alone.
