Re: Crystal clear Keys

|
Re: Crystal clear Keys
they are 37's
|
Re: Crystal clear Keys
so Pat, how's Jon's boat running with the Teagues??
and Brian, that is Jon's boat with the scoops, and a pair of sweet Teagues under the hatch. And I do believe the boat was painted at Spectre, and not the usual "Joey the squirrel". .....very nice pics Pat. :D |
Re: Crystal clear Keys
Teague what? 800s?
|
Re: Crystal clear Keys
Both boats look awesome! nice paint, what numbers did you get out of the one with teagues in it? Heath
|
Re: Crystal clear Keys
They are Teague 720s with the Platinum drive upgrade. They turned out to be really user friendly. No fancy gear cases and stock merc props running around 93. We've never played with props and Jon experienced first-hand sport gearcases on Jeff's Radioactive but wanted an easy 'exit'. Push the throttles and she jumps up on plane. Nice-nice cruise at 75 mph.
Somewhere I have pictures of them. I will take a look. Exactly, Adam. Jay's paintman did Jon's boat over on the west coast of FL. And the boat left and was returned 'done' in under 5 weeks. However I still can't take away Joey's artisitic abilities. Now if he just would work a little faster.... :) |
Re: Crystal clear Keys
hey Brian,
I know your foaming at the mouth about that "93" # and those teagues. Don't worry, Jon don't keep boats too long, so it'll be up for sale soon for you to buy... :D |
Re: Crystal clear Keys
F$&# 93mph. I want Triple Digits so I can forever smoke Rich on $omethings Gotta Give. :D :D :D
|
Re: Crystal clear Keys
Brian,
don't sweat it.....I'm sure Pat will put a pair of 1075mercs and #6 drives in Monsoon when you take it down to the factory this winter.......and when he does....I WANT A RIDE for sure... :D |
Re: Crystal clear Keys
Nice looking AT's there!!! :D
|
Re: Crystal clear Keys
Wow, that yellow 37'A/T looks awesome!...extremely sharp!----but the picture in post #9 looks like you CAN'T see the nose of the boat from the helm...not sure I personally like that too well, but it could just be the angle of the shot. I assume that's the newer style deck. Other than that, the boat is VERY clean looking, and not too busy of a paint job which I really like. :)
btw, this is KAAMA---I'm visiting over at Steve/Rampage's house. |
Re: Crystal clear Keys
Yes, both of those boats are the new style deck, one way to tell is from the back,if the exhaust is above the rub=rail then it is a old deck and below a new style deck. But I will tell you that even on the old style deck you cant see the very tip of the boat where the walkway goes around the boat, it drops down a bit.

Old style deck, there was an option to put the exhuast below the swim platform, Dan and I opted that way, and we had KE 675's. The fastest I ever got my boat was 98.4 and am not nearly as experienced as Racer X who got 101 out of Dan's Boat. Like Pat said, Radio Active was set up for top end, it took to long to plane for me, I played with spacers, at 1" it improved planing drastically but top speed was around 96 and with 1-1/2" it planed even better, the best user friendly at a top end of 94-95, really didn't get a chance to play with it to much at that time.
Guys, its better to make your boats more user friendly, get up on plane for the few mph, it puts less stress on components, which puts less stress on our pocketbooks, and stress free is what boatings all about. The new A.T. look great, keep up the good work, and post more pics. :D Jeff |
