How many of us out there?

Hy, I've always wondered how many of us are around and how well are we doing with an Advantage. I just hope that there'll be more than just me.
I'd like to know about their history, hull making and racing if any.

Re: How many of us out there?

I do not own an Advantage but I did ride in the 28 Party Cat with one of the guys from the factory. There is a new Advantage Dealer in Hendersonville TN and I have got to know those guys really well this summer. NICE BOATS and glad to see there is an Advantage section now. Give it a few weeks to be posted up and the owners will chime in.

Well.....

90 is a tough number to reach on a 27' Victory.....

The best I have had my 27 is 88 MPH on GPS....

I have a Pfaff Whipple Charged 565…….

Dynoed at 996 HP & over 900ftlbs of torque at 4,500...

I never ran it in the boat at that HP as you will hit a wall with the 27 at about 800HP or so. The additional HP above only hurts drives.....

I changed the pully down to about 875, then to 825 or so....

I can still run 85 or so in the Winter....

I still have problems keeping a drive together on the thing....

You will also need good size trim tabs and full hydraulic steering to stop the boat from chine walking as high speed...

PM me if you need any additional info....

I just ordered a new 27' Victory. I had owned a 22' citation prior. Advantage Boats is a great company and they stand behind there product. I'm certain there are faster bottoms out there but overall you can't beat them.

I'm still lurking around here too :)

Anyone looking for a real clean 32 trailer and all :)

I think I've used the boat 4-5x a year for the last 3-4 years...

Too many toys, time to sell a few of them.

All is good here, had another great summer, did a ton of boating, but as usual everyone uses my place as the meeting point so theres no need to even drop my boat in, so I really cant complain about not using my boat much. see you've been busy with your motor LOL!! it looks like a shiny piece of art!

My ride. Going to Catalina at the Scope poker run a few years ago.

32' Victory here

I have a 1999 32' Victory with 454 Mag MPI's and it is by far the best handling and riding boat I have ever been in. The Advantage people were a dream to work with when building the boat and it lloks as good as it drives. I sold the boat a few years back and carried the paper for the loan, but the buyer got flaky and I repo'd the boat a few weeks ago. Man I realized how much I love that boat and I am going to sell my Nordic and keep the Advantage. Top speed fresh water 72+, Salt water 75+

I have a 2005, 27 Victory with mid-cabin. It is a fun boat!

DAVEO 03-29-2007 01:32 PM

I just bought a 28 sport cat. Love it. Im running a 515 ci BBC w/8-71 @ 6psi. Should run in the low 100s. Have had it in the 80s but have not run it up yet. Ran into a motor issue so I need to fix that before I will run it hard.

Lakeracer - how are the new engines - tested yet?

They ran fine. I believe that my stock flame arrestors were too restrictive as I have an idle problem (intermittent) on the starboard engine. I'm waiting on new ones.

I didn't get a chance to run them very hard...I only have about 2.5 hours on them now. And I only used my 26p props. Didn't get a chance to use the 28's I bought.

Hopefully more testing this weekend but so far everything is ok.
