Prop for a 27 victory
 

I have a 27 victory 575 SCI with a Bravo XR. What size/pitch prop should I be using? Anyone else have this setup?

Is the rev limiter on that motor at 5400 like all the other Merc motors? If so, assuming you're running a 1.50 I'd say a 28 bravo would work. What prop is on it now and how does it perform?

Yes the rev limiter is set around 5400. I have run a 26p 4 blade and it overrevs. I have tried a 28 p 4 blade and it seems to be too much? How about a 3 blade, or 5 blade, any thoughts?

What kind of RPM does it hit with the 28P? Have you done any slip calcuations? I haven't tried a 3 blade on mine, but I have tried a Hydro P-5X and it lifted up the back of the boat and buried the nose and ran like crap. I think the X-dim on the 27s is too low to run a 5-blade. Are the props you're running lab or stock?
