27 victory Advantage.............trim tabs or not ?

Hi,
I had a 23.5 Carrera classic that had trim tabs and it did help it pick up few miles on top speed.

Now I have a 1997 advantage victory 27

Will trim tabs also do the same for 27 ?
if so, is there a size or brand that would work the best on this boat ?

thanks

Edwin

I don't think tabs will help for speed. Typically you want them all the way up for speed. My experience with the 27' & 28' Victory's is tabs aren't really necessary because of the shallow deadrise.

Trim tabs will not help pick up any top speed. Not sure why your previous boat did either. What the tabs DO help is keeping the boat level offshore or driving at a slow speed (tubing, skiing).
