1997 advantage 27 victory won't start sometimes
 

Hi,
Just got a 27 advantage only 14 hours on it. the perivious owner had fuel pump replaced and tank pumped do to sitting for 13 years.

I replaced the module and pick up coil but that did not do it, it starts and runs great but if you run it for a little while and shut it off and sit for a little while, it has a hard time restarts, I have to keep messing with the trottle to get it to fire up.

Anyone had same issue or is there something that is common on 502 mercury that will cause that.

I thought it was vaper lock but even on a cool day will do the same.

Have you checked the fuel filter and water separater? The previous owner may not have gotten all the bad gas out when pumped. Hope you figure it out soon, season is getting short. Good luck.
