34’ offshore with Blackhawk drives

Anyone know if advantage made more than one of these 34’ offshore’s rigged with Blackhawk drives? I’ve never seen another large boat with these drives

The Scarab P29 back in the day was 29' feet with twin 350mpi Mercs, and Blackhawk drives. That's the only other boat that comes to mind. And it's definitely a much smaller boat.

Bob Supulvada at Advantage boats would know. He knows every boat that they ever built I think. He may be retired by now though. Are you looking to buy or sell or just curious?

really just curious to know how these boats handled with these drives and how reliable the drives were on a large twin like this with stock blacktop power.

in all the for sale ads of offshore 34’s I’ve seen, this is the only one with blackhawks.

I was looking at the 34's a few years ago as well. All of the ones that i saw had 496's and Bravos. A previous owner may have installed them trying to get some speed as the original drives were pretty deep. They should be just as dependable as a bravo, they have the same internals. I talked to the guys at Advantage about trying to make a 34 offshore fast and they told me to forget it. Said you can throw all the HP at it that you want and they just don't gain any speed.

I found this old ad for the boat and the old owner states it would hit 75 but who knows.

also I don’t think this was originally a bravo boat because the back half of the hull is different from any of the other offshore 34’s ive seen. Most have a triple step where as this one only has single.

I’ve read that Blackhawk drives required a hull that would naturally want to bow lift as the surface drives don’t provide much lift.
