Chromecat, I used to hang out at Ed's shop all the time when he was in Grove. His crew helped me lay-up a part I was working on for a plug. The AO is a good product. His brother is the man behind the production part. One thing I think would help the company get back on track is a new deck for the 3100. It needs a deck like the 2600 nsx. I was there when the designed it. There is a good story behind the design. Some day I might look at buying a 2600 nsx and rig with 2.5s. I have the Skater now but might be intereted in the future. Good luck with everthing. Ed builds a good boat.

Sounds interesting, I am always up for information about the boats. There always seems to be a good story in the background. As far as getting you into a new boat I'm ready when you are.

Re: ChromeCat
I have no experience with turbine powered boats... it has been a little while since we have done a surface drive 3100, but i know it works very well with higher speed numbers than sterndrive powered. Also a 3100 with 700hp will run around 120 and 800hp should be around 130..

Re: ChromeCat
Hi, I have had 2 AO's a 95 with a blown 502 and a 99 with a 588inch tall deck. They are without a doubt the best riding/handling cat on the market. I am in the process of buying my 3rd 26 AO from Ed right now. Can't wait until May. After all: If it ain't a cat, it must be a dog...

Re: ChromeCat
There was a twin engine NSX at our lake that ed built for a customer. That thing was a blast to drive. Only thing bad about the boat was the ass end was to heavy with the engines and drives

Re: ChromeCat
Hello Chromecat, I see your location shows Illinois. What connection do you have with AO? Did the factory move? Thought they were still in Texas.

Re: ChromeCat
I am a sales rep for Ed, I get information to people that are interested in the boats and get them hooked up with buying a new boat. Yes I am in Illinois and the factory is still in south Texas.

Re: ChromeCat
Thanks Don for the info. Good hearing that Ed is back in the "saddle" and producing a great boat again.
