45 Apache

As many of you already know I am debating between making some changes to the Apache or going with a different boat altogether. The rest of the family wants more creature comforts (more cockpit room, cabin, bathroom, etc) while I like the hardcore plain-jane boats. So the bottom line is that I either need to make some changes to this boat or find something else.

This is where you guys come in. I have been looking around at prices listed on other Apaches and they are all over the scale. I have a recent appraisal, but it is absolutely unrealistic as to what the market price or actual selling price of this boat may be. I need to know a good ballpark so that I can weigh my options and decide which is the best way to go. So, what price would you guys list this boat at or at what price would it sell? This is certainly not a sellers market right now, but I just need a good consensus on an actual market value. I really want to keep this boat and make the changes, but I want to feel out all of the options before I decide. As always, thanks for the help!

Seriously, keep the Apache and if possible buy a boat/cruiser with all the creature comforts that would make your family happy.

I love your boat...

I didn't remember that it didn't have a cabin....

Wow... I can fell you pain though... My family did persuade me into a boat with big cockpit and gen/AC...

If you can afford want you want and have the room to keep it, I say keep the Apache.. Its a beautiful boat and sadly to say the market is not very giving right now.

Many of the folks at LOTO keep a go fast at the dock along with a family cruiser... :drink:

That 45 may be the most perfect Apache. It's certainly the rarest.

If it were mine, I don't know whay I'd regret more- parting with it or turning it into a pleasure cruiser. In reality, I can't imagine what you could do under that deck to make it "comfortable" like a Searay or the like. In the end, if the family wants comfort, I doubt you'll find it in that cabin.
