Didn't know how good I had it!

I moved to the Clear Lake, Texas area in the early 90's. From what I'm seening now, Apaches are becoming as sought after as '70 Hemi Cudas. When I moved here, I knew the owners of 3 Apaches in the area. A 28' with twin 540 Bulldogs. That boat was faaaaast! Then a neighbor ordered a 36' with twin 525 SC's. Right after he got it, his wife developed asthma and he had to sell it and move to New Mexico. It was white with a pink indian head band on the side. Then there was one of the king Apaches - 47' War Party. The package included custom painted boat, tow vehicle, and chase fuel truck. The boat had triple 1100's that ran on racing fuel and had an alcohol injection button. When it was loaded with fuel and women, the exhaust set below the water level. I just didn't know I had it so good back then! TH

Very similar. But the stripes going forward were not on there. Also, if I remember correctly, the entire headband was pink.

Sorry to hear about your friend having to get rid of it. I've been enjoying it for the last two seasons, comming up on the third. I believe it was repoed from someone in Texas or it was sold to another person then repoed I can't really remember.
