Madin Voyage in my new 36

All I can say is WOW....

I have always heard how nothing rides like an Apache but i never imagined anything could ride this awsome.

I went out today lake was about 3 to 5 foot. This thing was nothing less than amazing. The boat just crushed through them like they were 2 footers.

I was at around 3400 and clipping along in the low 50's. It was pretty effortless.

Now I won't be able to sleep till I can get her back in the water. But looks like we are going to be dipping back down 40's and 30's for the next week.

WTF

Roger sold his boat? I know he's old but that old dog still has a lot of fight...........:D :D :D

el indio 04-04-2007 09:36 AM

the water is cold this time of year......idle those motors to warm up the gear lube in the drives....it takes awhile........

BLee 04-04-2007 10:26 AM

Congratulations on your new boat. The 36 Apache is one of my all time favorite boats. I actually saw your boat in production on 188th back in the day. I get behind the wheel of my buddy Warparty36's boat occasionally and get reminded of how great these boats are.

Thanks for the info. I had a 15 minute ride down the river before I hit the lake.

I'm honestly blown away.. I have always loved them as well and knew some day I would have one. I couldn't imagine something riding better.

Rob

Did you/ do you have the yellow and blue sutphen?

I have the yellow and black baja 302. Now its the Captain Morgan's boat.

I want a ride on that bad boy. I never got the timing right with Roger to hook up but I always loved his boat.

It still looks great and I am sure you will be very happy with it.

Leathl_WS6 04-04-2007 03:39 PM

Yes that is me I still have the sutphen. I am working one getting rid of it now.

I remember you and your Baja. From the port clinton run. You're welcome aboard anytime.

If you know anyone who wants a nice Sutphen send them my way.

Rob

Boat Looks Awsome Good Luck And The Apache Family Just Keeps On Living.

Wait Till You Get Her Out On 7-10 Footers Then She Really Come Alive And You'll Pick Up 5mph In The Air.

Best Of Luck If Ever In New Jersey Look Me Up.
Team Savave 36 Apache Warrior Last Out Of 188th St.

Will do if oyu ever make it to lake erie look me up... The Islands over here sure are a good time...

TeamSaris 09-16-2007 08:46 PM

What have you gotten her up to?

Leathl_WS6 09-16-2007 09:02 PM

So far around 76. Thats with 3 or 4 people and a bunch of fuel on a 2 to 4 ft lake. Thats also at only around 5k. I know there is a few mph in props and getting the motors up to 5400.

That and Lighting her up and getting her out of the water should get me to 80.

KIDDS 09-17-2007 06:30 PM

tTHAT SOUNDS GREAT JUST BE REALLY CAREFULL THE BOAT IS 10,000LBS DRY, AND WITH THE XR AND SUPERCHARGERS YOU ARE RALLY PUSHING IT AT 5400 REMEMBER THE XR ARE ONLY RATED FOR 600HP.BUT THAT IS GREAT SPEED 76-80 IN 4 FOOTERS REMBER THE BIGGER THE WAVE YOU SHOULD PICK UP 3-5 MPH IN THE AIR. BOAT LOOKS AWSOME

Queenie 09-18-2007 07:41 AM

Rob, some of us are heading to Lakeside for a late lunch Thursday afternoon. Any chance of you being able to meet up with us around 2PM or so?

Leathl_WS6 09-18-2007 07:56 AM

I could probably make it but I would be flying solo. I will see if I can find some crew members to go with me.

If you can't find anyone (which I find hard to believe...there's always someone waiting to go on a boat ride LOL), come on over yourself. You're not that far from downtown, correct? We're about 20 to 25 minutes.

Leathl_WS6 09-18-2007 09:38 AM

Yes I am about 25 minutes from Lakeside.
