Crap-ache theory disproven - Kageman finds new home
OK - About a week ago, I started a thread that expressed my frustration in locating a clean, available Apache. I suppose the term "Crap-ache" might have been a little rough, and to those who took offense to my rantings, I'm sorry (although I still think you need help if that's all it takes to piss you off).
For the rest of you who realized that what I actually wanted was for someone to point me in the direction of what seemed to be an ever-elusive unicorn, I owe you all a drink, or two, or six. Thanks to many of you, and especially Wes, I OWN MY OWN 41 APACHE!! Kageman is going back to IL... Wes, I have seen some clean boats over the years, but you are, without a doubt, one of the most disturbed, over-the-top, out of control, freaky-clean boat owners that I have ever met. And I know you will take that as a compliment!!! I have never actually purchased a boat and not wanted to wax it for fear of making it dirtier than it was before I started!?! Seriously, though, you were an extremely gracious host, you have kept a wonderful boat, and my wife and I are very excited about owning this boat. Thanks. Lastly, I still have that Fountain for sale .....anyone.....anyone??? |
Hey Wes glad, but sad that it sold. Congrats!
|
I'll go wait by my mailbox for my commission check ;)
P.S. Change your F-ing avatar! A suggestion... http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...teamapache.jpg |

Congrats and Welcome to the Tribe. Where you going to be running her in Illinois?

Congrats! I'm sure you'll enjoy it even more than you think once you get her home and run it.
|
Wes, you a little sad? What's next as far as a boat for you?

...yeah, I have to say I am. It is an incredible boat and I'm happy it's going to a real nice family who will take care of it the way it deserves to be kept ! :D Matt is a great guy who I know will enjoy it immensely. I'm not sure what's next....I'll be a potential buyer for the first time in a long time ! Matt - it was truly my pleasure Saturday - please say Hi and congrats to Rebecca.... Let me know how I can help get this puppy home ASAP. Call any time ! Wes |

That picture was from the Chain, we live in Lake Villa so we split our time between the Chain and Lake Michigan. |

Brian you seem to be lurking here more. You looking at the beast everyday and getting the urge. |
Hey Wes, my wife is coordinating right now on getting the boat home.....you know what that means....she'll have it ready in the next 10 minutes.
Sorry to hear about your feelings of worthlessness....um...gonna pass on your naked issues..... Let me know when you 47 arrives!!! You know you want it... Rebecca says she wants a ride. |
Buda - I thought that backdrop looked familiar. We've got a house right where the Fox meets Pistakee. I'll look for you next summer.

Not yet. Boat leaves on the 26th, probably arrives on the 28th. Think that justifies missing work??? I think so....

It's exciting, that's for sure. We were fortunate to get at least 6 weeks of boating in when we took possession of ours. It'll have to get us through to May '08. |
Matt,
Congratulations on your purchase of Kageman, I hope you have a lot of fun with it. If you have any questions about the boat let me know as I originally bought the boat when it was "Bushwacker" and refurbished it to "Kageman" Kind of ironic as I live in Inverness and I see you are from Barrington, I also keep my current boats in Winthrop Harbor. Good to see the Apache coming back to Illinois. |
Kageman
Thanks for the info on the boat. I suppose its even more ironic that you sold the Apache to buy your Fountain, and I sold my Fountain to buy the Apache. Since we boat out of Winthrop too, we will probably see you when the snow melts. |
Thanks to wes and Jimmy Kageman finally made it home this afternoon. Wes thank you for all your help with getting kageman here. April is just to far away. Boat is so awesome. We hope we enjoy it as much as you did. :ernaehrung004:

.....Good Luck Matt - I know you'll enjoy it. Say Hi to Rebecca for me !! |
Where did the name Kageman come from?
Maui- are you keeping it? |
chris, i believe the owner that named it manufactured animal cages.
|
You are correct, I am a stainless steel manufacturer, one of my product lines we manufactured is animal caging and equipment for the veterinary and pharmaceutical industries.
My website is www.suburbansurgical.com if you are curious. |
Darn. And I thought Kageman was some mystical Indian thing... ;)
|
We had the same discussion about the name of this boat too last week.
I asked Rob if Kageman had sort of tribal attachment to it......guess not! :D But it's nice to know where the names come from. |
