Does anyone know anything about the 41 foot Apache in the classifieds with the wing and tunnel ram motors? :cool-smiley-011:

The boat has been discussed several times. I don't know anyone who has seen it in person though, although someone posted on here that they knew the owner. The short story is this- the boat is pretty much all original. That means that everything is probably at or close to the end of its practical life expectancy. If you were to strip it bare and repaint it, redo the cabin & cockpit, re-rig, front fuel tank, rebuild the drives & transmisions, and assuming that, as has been posted here, that the motors are solid and need just refreshening, you'd be into the boat for about $50K more than some nice #6 boats. have recently sold for. That's not counting the year and the effort of having it redone.
It would be exactly how you wanted it though. Apache projects aren't for the meek, cheap or impatient. |

No that's the boat I was talking about. I really dig oldschool boats, I actually like them a lot better than the new boats.
A boat is something I don't really expect to get my money back out of. I have had to work really hard for everything in my life. I just thought this could be a nice boat. I usually do all of my own work and I enjoy it, the few times I have hired work out, the work was under my standards, I guess I expect a lot because I give a lot. I just wanted to know if I could use the boat until I decided to refurbish it. p.s. I just got an e-mail saying that someones Norteck was stolen from up around Lake Texoma, I hope they get it back. It sounds like a really unique boat.
